The cheap Chinese slimline ones are garbage, just like the cheap Chinese steering wheels that you can bend in half with minimal effort.
Nothing wrong with a quality quick release boss like NRG.

Section 75 consumer credit act would protect a credit card payment. However site looks like a proper scam from above comments :-) Not for less than £100 it wont.

Hello, got some black leather Alfa 147 seats ex riot sprinter van. They are heated however all the wiring has been cut, i am left with 2 black wires and a grey wire iirc. Does anyone know if these use a timer relay or control module to operate or is it just a simple 12v on and off setup using the switch?
My cold bum appreciates any help, before a trip to the scrappies to investigate myself.

Good forums won't die, i find it hard to take facebook seriously, just seems to be full of numpties who have an opinion but unfortunately have no knowledge to back it up. Idiots asking the stupidest questions that can be answered with the first result of a google search. The trend of people on forums just been dicks to other people for no reason other than to boost their own ego. Thankfully that seems to be kept to a minimum on here. Forums can be cliquey, and that's great if you're involved but if not it's frustrating posting things and not getting a response. I post on two large forums, here & Vzi. I don't really post in the discussion board on here so I'm referring more to Vzi when I say cliquey. I get the same one or two people commenting on my build threads. Maybe they're not interesting enough, which is fair but I think it was Dez who pointed out on here a while ago, people's threads blowing up when all they have done is stuck on a sticker and a proper bit of fabrication/modification slips down out of site. Who you know/knows you I guess. Haha, i fully agree. I do love reading the chat section on VZI as they are some really interesting stuff and people on it, but rarely bother to post because 9 times out of 10 your post will get ignored, while they just chat amongst themselves. You see it all the time, someone unknown/low post count etc will reply with a good post, yet it will be ignore and trivial posts replied to instead.

Depends if the parts were in good condition or not? You don't say.
If they were fine and as described then i would tell them to go away.

Wow looks as if we've been done by this guy as well 3 years down the line. Posted car on e-bay as a private sale as he stated he & family used it but admitted in writing he's also a trader but if this was a trade sale he would have given hubby headed notepaper hence no warranty! The clutch failed the second time he drove it!! A clutch can fail at anytime without warning, if it was fine when it was test driven and the first time you used it then you haven't been done its just unlucky.

I was referring to Pholcus phalangioides, they enter others spiders webs pretending to be prey when the other spider comes out they use their long legs to wrap it up, its pretty crazy to watch them do it especially when its a big spider. Did not know they ate other spiders!! Every day a school day! That's likely what happened to my false widows! Explains why they vibrate when you nudge them. I thought it was just harvestmen that ate, well, everything. Yeah, you wouldn't think it possible looking at them. I only know because i saw one wander into a house spiders web/nest at work and saw the battle and then did some google searching.

The two that live in my both of my campers wing mirrors have done alot of travelling this year. I'm not a great fan of spiders but try and leave them alone or relocate the bigger ones if in the house. The best spider catchers and killers are daddy longlegs, despite looking comical when moving they can easily dispatch house spiders bigger than themselves. You're thinking of the harvestman. Sometimes gets called daddy long legs along with a plethora of other arachnids and insects which get rolled into the same name. They eat literally anything. Are you sure mate? Just looked at the v62 and it states: "Note: Do not fill in this form if your vehicle has been categorised as A or B salvage as we will not issue a vehicle registration certificate (V5C). These vehicles should not be driven on the road. You can get more information on salvage categories from the insurance company." Were your vehicles previously issued with a COD? Thanks A vehicle that has been written off by an insurance company and categorised has either Cat A or Cat B can not be put back onto the road - period (Cat C & D can) - I suspect that the vehicle that you are interested in has been voluntary scrapped by the previous owner and therefore is not an issue if you can rescue & restore it "Should" not be put back on the road, nothing legally stopping you from fixing and putting a Cat A or B back on the road, its a common misconception. Plenty of them on the roads, ive had two Cat B's myself.

Well if its turning off with the ignition its not 'running away'.
Sounds like it will a problem with the pumps internals - but the vague information makes it hard to tell.

My VW T4 failed it's MOT test today on the rear service brake doing nothing (did not get a sheet with the figures on it) Rest of the brakes including handbrake are fine.
The rear load compensator was seized, which i have managed to free off and it seems abit better with the breaker bar on wheel nut test.
My question is other than getting it on the brake rollers is there a reliable-ish way i can gauge if it is now up to scratch.
Thanks.

Why didnt I just spend £300 to get the 2.4 head refurbed and it would be running now? Lol full 2.4d engine and gearbox on ebay for £450 if you fancy a quick fix, box has got to worth £250 on its own. Easy engines to turbo too.

Cheers for the replies, ive bodged it now.
As said temp bodge to get to work. Not enough time or daylight to strip everything, check, solder them, refit on the chance it may work when i can just run a simple wire and definitely get to work and then fix properly on my day off.
