...worn gear linkage which meant gear changes were a point-and-guess affair. Very true. Even when new they weren't very confident feeling. I served my time at a Peugeot/Talbot bodyshop and remember them being a bit of a poor quality car. Then again, they weren't very expensive compared to the Ford dealership next door so they sold quite a few. I remember one of the guys buying a bright red Horizon brand new. Drove it straight out of the showroom, up the ramp to the bodyshop on the next floor and painting the bottom half silver. It looked quite nice for it's time and I seem to remember people coming into the showroom asking if there was a special edition available as they seen this two-tone Horizon around.

V8 Victor? I know you have a penchant for old Vauxhalls. Or is it a modern of some kind?

I'm tempted to say Toyota 2000GT but I know the alarms and hooters will go off telling me I'm wrong. I seem to remember seeing a replica built made from a 240/260Z? I think there's also a convertible version done from an MX5 too. I'll go with 240Z with it being the coupe

I'd have the Van from the film of the same name. Tackiness at it's best. ;D Or maybe even the Supervan Oh ok, anything to do with Barris.

...beats looking at any of the new bland euro sheep cars we get over here I say . Beat me to it and I couldn't agree more. I welcome anything like this that is trying to echo the lines of a previous legend from era's gone by. I love it. In the same way I love the new Fiat 500 too...
