I too have some issues regarding the Speed Trials: There was a "Marshall" stopping cars just before the pits until the drivers wore their gloves. Why not tell them before the vehicles leave for the pits? Now bearing this in mind, how were some of the 34 people (yes I did count) allowed to stand next to motorcycles during burnouts? My last moan is that during announcements promoting donations for charity, they said "those of you who got in for free..." Why are people getting in for free when the rest of us paid £15? Oh, and I got sunburnt ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png)

Planning on going to Brighton for the speed trials (again)this year.
It's a fantastic event, even if it rains.

The VL Commodore was available with a Nissan 6 cylinder engine, due to the old Holden six no longer being acceptable. This replacement was of course the RB, a version of which came in these: ![](http://img.autocosmos.com/contenidos/galerias/1600x1200/GAZ_03826e1cfde1476db8e9419ae2d5aa7b.jpg) Ok, the VL came with the RB20E, RB30E or RE30ET, not the RB26DETT.

You can even buy a new replica; p50cars.com/£6½K for a diy kit or £8½K for a completed version. I don't know how they've got around stuff like NCAP testing? These new P50s would have to go through an IVA.

I'm looking to clear abit of space and sell off a bunch of PPC back issues.
Take your pick from issue 2 to 171(with possibly one or two exceptions).
Hoping for around £5 each posted (some are twice that on eBay).
Large multiples would require collection from Wokingham Rg41.

Makes sense to me: It's yellow and preps the surface for a posh, shiny paint job later.

I've longed for a turbocharged, Subaru powered Alfa 33 or 145 for a while. An Alfasud would be awesome (great little sleeper).

Fiat 126 with an EV conversion. Or a rotary.
Lada Riva with a Rover V8.
Daimler Hemi in a Volvo Amazon.
AMG V8 powered Chrysler Crossfire (my boss has a Crossfire, and my mate has been breaking Mercedes).
Alfa's Busso V6 in the rear of a Fiat Cinquecento(they rot out anyway...)
Honda Logo running a larger 1.6/1.7 D series.

Imagine my annoyance to find out that my Brother in law sent his Mk1 Punto (with parts nicked from mine)to the same scrappy the day after that episode aired.

The idea has just come to me:
Pick some "pure sound" videos on YouTube, and get the youngsters descriptions.

Not as bad as you'd think: It came about as a result of being a stupid kid and a nerdy wrestling fan. Nearly 15 years later and I'm still using it.

Hmm... I am curious as to whether paint stripper would have any affect on the faux rust?

I'm sure I read that the Ford Duratec shared bellhousing pattern with Mazda.
