Hi Pig 3.09 diff? Why do you want it so long? I have a gen Ford 4.6 in mine, but I got it for the bargain price of £130 brand new ages ago. Think they cost hundreds now! The downside of owning an Escort nowadays That ratio and box combination would see you comfortably past 150mph though right? Good work mate! Graham

Ah, of course! the 7x15's are from the 944 and the 8x16 from the 911 and 928 right? Still, hens teeth, that amazes me. I wish I'd bought loads when you couldnt give them away was I right Keefy? Is the handbrake a drum thing? Or am I barking up an entirely different tree all together?

Is the handbrake mechanism not inside the disc in a small drum set up? It is on the 911, and I thought the 944 too. Its been a while since I last had a 944, so I really cant remember. Next, the cups are ace! Teledials are are anything but the wheel of choice in Porsche circles. Are they popular on VW's now? Id have thought they would be both cheap and easy to get a hold of?

I'm completely ignorant of great J cars like this. What would something like this cost you in the UK? Mmm indeed I love Hayashis, if I was importing I suppose I might as well go for Hayashis. HMMMMM.

Leave the car as it is, just play with the wheels and ride height. If you take off the stripes, trim, bumpers etc, you're taking away the cars character and identity. Looks great though!!!!

Hi Rich
I'm completely ignorant of the spec of your supercharger etc but am very interested in this. Can you tell me, did you have to reduce the compression ratio in your engine to take the supercharger? If so, how? Or does the charger provide low enough pressure to be below the cut off limit for compression reduction? If your engine is still high compression, how much of an advantage does the charger give you? Is it comparable to traditional N/A modifications, or is it much better? Id imagine it'd be better low down than N/A but run out of puff at the top end? Great project, and great reading! I wish you well!

This is trully excellent! I saw the heavilly lowered blue one on the thread about the Fiat 126 and no one knew what it was! Excellent find! I hope you resore it well! Also, what is the spec of the engine? is it a twin cam? Its interesting to see a 1962 engine with seperate ports for each cylinder and a crossflow design on such a basic car. A very interesting car, I wish you the best!
