Its a 1.0 with an Eaton Charger from new Mini Cooper S and a r5 GTT carb

thats a roots type blower (or a positive displacement blower)!!
don't put the carb after it!! ala blow through!!
u can with a turbo etc because it will just stall when the throttle is closed.
the blower will give boost at any rpm and with it drawing open air it WILL eplode the carb... or most likely push the buterfly into the engine and u do not want that!!
just thought i would worn thee before it costs u lots.....

Thats what the d/v is there for at idle when whe boost pressure is greater than the inlet manifold pressure, the instant you open the throttle the positive pressure in the inlet manifold shuts the d/v and your away,
it just unseats at idle and gearshift to vent the excess pressure otherwise the pipes just blow off, all the pipework is ribbed at the ends for the jubilee clips to stop blow of bar one which is the failsafe weakest link this will always pop before the boost could possibly destroy the carb!
As it is a R5 turbo carb it is designed to be blow through and the pressure relief valve (dv) controls the pressures anyway. its just a turbo setup with a different method of compressing the air.

I'm completely ignorant of the spec of your supercharger etc but am very interested in this.
Can you tell me, did you have to reduce the compression ratio in your engine to take the supercharger? If so, how? Or does the charger provide low enough pressure to be below the cut off limit for compression reduction?
If your engine is still high compression, how much of an advantage does the charger give you? Is it comparable to traditional N/A modifications, or is it much better? Id imagine it'd be better low down than N/A but run out of puff at the top end?
