Having both a gen 1 and gen 6 civic, I was very interested in the development of this car and from a driving dynamics point of view too being rwd, I just find it a crying shame there isn't a 2 door and the price is fairly high still though I have the same gripe with the leaf. They need to be cheaper to get more interested because you can get a pretty high specced ICE car for that money and not have to worry about day trip charging. Having watched the fully charged drive on youtube, the turning circle is comical.

I have nothing to add other than that sounds like a great idea. I'm already fed up with hearing talk of Christmas already, we're starting to plan our Christmas boxes and product range as well as schedules and have been for a month or so. That's the joys of working in Organic food though

I got fed up with a quick fix not being so quick whilst working on the drive as it's pretty embarrasing, the not yet mother in law usually turns up and starts bringing the neighbours round to chat whilst I'm mid job too, my driveway is side on to three houses who probably all stand in their Spammy spam spam spam, no thank you, man. cursing me for making the place look untidy. I have put a triple wide gate round the back to work in there on the quick fixes and have learnt to park my daily car round the corner so if people do turn up unannounced it looks like I'm out.
spammy spam spam spam = kitchen. no idea why that's auto changed it but if they want to stand in spam, that's fine by me.

rare when new, no though I did have a chance to buy one of the first "new" abarth 500s which was used in a celebrity race and won which was 1 of 10 which I passed on because of my datsun. Rarest now, the gen 1 civic we're currently fettling with, saying that having a 280z in the uk is fairly rare but they aren't rare in the US in the grand scheme of things.
EDIT : there can't have been many non quattro audi coupe GT's which are automatic with green dash and interior etc.

Sorting that MOT list with gusto. Tie rod ends done though oddly I don't have a picture, possibly something to do with how much of a fox they were to get off, brakes inspected, what was left of the dust shield was removed as it was completely gone at the bottom and flapping nicely, surprised it couldn't be heard hitting the back of the disc when moving. Currently struggling to get new ARB bushes into the arm and into the bar itself, though we may be changing the arms so have given up for now until a decision is made, took a matter of minutes to remove the old ones but I think I'll have this sorted with a couple of bits of pipe to stop the new bushes expanding wider than the holes. I'll bring more pictures when the jobs are complete, tracking and tyres soon too.

I remember when I was going to Thruxton this was in the scrutineering shed for years, I think it mysteriously dissappeared in 2015 or so so might even have been built up into a full car by now if it made it's way into the right hands.

Good luck! I agree with getting your dream car whilst young, then you've got the rest of your life to enjoy it (I got my S30 Z last year at 26 and it too was one of the cheapest available ) I'm interested to see how your wiring turns out I've been looking into a painless wiring harness potentially for my car but if this goes well I might consider one of these too.

The most dangerous thing I've drove, golf mk2 where rear wheel cylinder popped out leaving me with no brakes, used my friends e46 as a bumper to get home late at night to ensure the smallest chance of hitting anyone else.
The most dangerous vehicle I've ever used entirely.... Honda mtx125.
Have you ever bought an old crosser from a car boot for less than £400 that apparently was taxed and MOTd? I have, the frame had been brush painted white, when they did this they moved the wiring to the headlights and gauges, when they refit them they didn't align it all properly so the forks and tank rubbed through the wires, I didn't find this out until I was following my mate down an unlit A road at past 11pm in the winter. One minute lights, next minute nothing. Being an indestructible two stroke it still ran fine. I again followed my friend home riding as close to him as I could to ensure I could see and if someone could see him then crossed fingers I wouldn't get hit by them. I did what I could with the wiring but after that it would pop bulbs, whether they were headlights, brake lights or indicators it didn't matter. It was missing panels and generally rough as old boots across the board, the chain tentsioner was cross threaded which I noticed when the bike started to crab down the road one day.
I've got a picture of this motorbike somewhere, I'll try find it. Why did I buy it in the first place? My previous motorbike which was only 3 months old had gotten stolen, you might be thinking wow insurance pay-out and get another, well, the bike I had before was one of those chinese buckets that only cost £500 new and it was a gift to me from my parents for my 18th, it wasn't cool, fast or anything really and had already started to fall apart so I was kind of glad it got stolen in one way. I went to Newark auto jumble with my dad and quite literally bought the first thing we saw that had an MOT.

Something oddball, I've seen more than a few polo mk2s for sale on bike carbs for sub £1k
When it comes to audio stuff, my old apple headphones have done me well for the last 4-5 years. £18 (at the time) xD

We've been watching them all as they come up, there's another silver JDM import for sale too, that red one's been listed for a month or two now, was at £20k when it first went up. I dunno that they'll ever fetch that much but it's nice to see people try for sure.

After letting the car sit for pretty much a month since the last use, I popped down on Saturday to have a snoop down the plug holes with the borescope, I couldn't see any coolant or oil sitting on the pistons or for that matter clean pistons, they weren't super sooty either but the engine doesn't have that many miles on it, the oil appeared fine on quick inspection so I'll probably grab a compression tester as its a tool I don't currently have and test the car after it's been on a long drive. As it's bank holiday weekend there's usually a show on somewhere, this time it turned out to be the locallest of locals, not 2 minutes up the road. Would you believe we were the only Japanese car there? We took doggo too, he liked the civic as it had this handy head holding place. After a while he was doing some inspecting of his own, checking the bolts for the seat are stamped and to spec.
