first step is to find your mapper, then ask them what their preferred ecu is that will work your engine and budget.
no point saving a few hundred on something home built if nobody will map it.

had this problem with an early Pre defender 110, baffled us for months, only happens because you get voltage feeding back through the lamp to the other wise of the relay for some reason due to the particularly low current draw of LED's.
you need to wire up individual telltales for left and right, or not have one.

I've also used MrInjector, no issues, a while back so I don't recall the exact timescale but recollect it was relatively prompt and reasonably priced.

In my experience of landrover wiring if I was in charge of the budget I would not hesitate to bin everything in the cab and get a fresh loom, I've spent months chasing issues on these bloody things.
You don't necessarily need a full vehicle loom, the main bulk is inside, which then connects to a chassis loom and engine bay and front end.
Bin any lucas bullets and use a proper sealed connector.

Is the 190mm including the terminals?
Will the battery tray accept any other size battery?

different engine, from 2007 on they used the PSA DW10 engine in the mk3, a lot more refined than the earlier Ford Puma 2.0, a variant of the 2.2 in the ST TDCI 155 bhp engine, and the 2.4 transit engine.
Ford did continue to use and develop the Puma but only in the vans, also ironically used by PSA/Sevel Sud in the boxer until 2016, where they went to the DW10, and the transits got the wet belt Panther chocolate teapot.

Do Bjt not stamp the vin on the chassis anywhere?
Any other identification markers of any sort?

Bmw injectors are notorious for seizing in, also they'll likely need replacing at that mileage anyway, 100k miles I think is the service life, obviously most designs will keep on going appearing to be just fine for a few hundred thousand.

I know of Thurston as I know the guy thats now an MD there through the peugeot 205 world!
They do mostly machining work and assembly, classic and vintage stuff, rolling road too.
Worth a Call as they may well know someone that would take the job on though

Where are you?
Would you take it out yourself or are you looking for someone to do the whole job?

Definitely would not leave it visible.
