Just seen the videos, they're both asshats but I hope the 350z driver gets the book thrown at him, no need at all for that speed especially when there is that many people about. According to his parents he needs to spend time with his family...
It's always the 1 or 2 that spoil it for the 100s, I hope this doesn't bring in law or legislation prohibiting the number of cars at meets etc, although I've not been to one for a while for the same reason. Jeremy Vine didnt help matters either, all car enthusiasts are by default boy racers according to him.

I do like this thread, picked up a Raleigh Michigan from the tip for 3 quid the other day, weighs about 4 tonnes but being a massive frame it's very nice to ride. Similar to your Cajun only mine doesn't have Reynolds tubing. Got that weird bio crank thing though.

Now with added MOT, got it home an hour ago and got the replacement seats in, that Merit seat is God awful to sit in, and got the exhaust on. Had to have a new handbrake cable in the end, it had been rubbing the exhaust and melted the sheath, been clipped up well out the way now.

Might be a ball bearing restricting the stem moving up, you may have to undo the top nut of the headset to allow it to drop out

To be fair even the tester said it was pretty good for a 25 year old car with 171k on the clock, just the welding I cant do, rest are easy fixes. Shouldn't cost a lot to do and in fairness it costs me curse word all to run, and my Mondeo has chosen now to spit its dummy out so I could do with having it back on the road.

Went in for MOT today, failed. My drivers seat has weirdly collapsed on one side, cant see where it is gone but ran to the scrappy to get a replacement, getting rare now, 5 yards, one 3 door, one passenger seat. So mounted that in, hopefully temporary. Number plate lights, dodgy LEDs so just put normal bulbs in. Then the elephant in the room, inner arches, both sides. Handbrake needs adjusting as well, but just the welding left to sort so left it at the garage, I'll pick it up next week. Normal Astra spot to go apparently. Life in it yet

I'm not sure my first ride in a car at 100mph - fairly sure it might have been in a family members Volvo 740 estate, Golf CL auto or a Ford Grandada (one of the 70s/80s boxy shape) My own personal experience was driving a 1995 Astra 1.4 Merit (like the one in the picture but mine had 1981 13" Cavalier Alloys which was a step up from the 13" normal narrow steelies) - My first proper car The steering did go light, pretty sure the max it reached was 110mph. I drove the shape after this with the 1.6 16v and it maxed out at near 130mph My current Focus tops at 110mph but it's the way it takes corner which is the ace part. Mine was in the exact same car albeit a 3 door, book top speed of 99 and it got an indicated 110, so maybe about right? On a flat private runway of course.

Pulled it off Ebay, I like riding it, made room by selling her bike she never uses instead no doubt there will be hell to pay when she realises but shes 7 months pregnant so plenty of time to replace it
