That mounting is going to compress your spine in the event of an impact so please change it asap - pretty much anything else would be an improvement.
Two options come immediately to mind : - anchor point on the bulkhead as you mentioned with a suitable spreader plate - add a harness bar between the backstays of your roll hoop at a height so it's just below the top of your seats and attach the harness to that

For the same flow area as a single 4" pipe you'll need 2 pipes of 27/8"...

I've worked for a (very big) Chinese automotive company and yes, they are very good at copying things as long as they are made of metal. They are a bit "flexible" where specifications & contracts are concerned though - I could cite a case where the development 3 way cats for a 2.0T gasoline project came with the correct precious metal loading on them ('cos they hadn't been awarded the contract at that point) but the production ones only had half as much so didn't work quite so well (but were obviously cheaper to make)...

Bit late to the party but if I'd seen this earlier I'd have suggested Lotus 907 & stroked to 2.5 maybe...

Yes, LPG not allowed on the tunnel - apparently because they forgot to put it on their insurance form when they started up and can't be bothered to change it. Seems absolutely ludicrous to me, you can't have a properly fitted tank, but an old gas bottle rattling around in the front of a fibreglass caravan is fine......😬 If you think about it, it's worse than that - you can't have a proper (certified) LPG tank but you can have a completely uncertified & not built to any recognised standards petrol tank you fabricated in the shed at the bottom of the garden.

The biggest issue is availability in your area. Some areas are well served, some not at all. Can't comment on the carb side as my Octavia is injection but I love it 'cos it's so cheap to run - had a BRC kit fitted 11 years ago at 55,000 miles with Flashlube kit to ensure no valve seat problems (for the money, why wouldn't you fit one) - it's now done 252,000 miles - the only issues have been a failed temperature sensor and a loose wire.

The only 4x140 PCD in the list I have are Peugeot 504, 505 & 604 and I'm pretty sure they'll all be bigger than 13".

Interesting - I thought either Article 253 or FIA 8855 specified the bolts for seatmount-to-seat as 12.9 8mm min but it doesn't, I've just checked - it just says 8mm min so to the letter of the regs 8mm nylon would suffice... 8.8 8mm min are specified for mount-to-car.

I almost said nylon but thought that might be a bit much :-)

If you need to comply with FIA regs, isn't 12.9 specified (don't have the regs to hand to check) ? Trackdays I dare say you could use aluminium.

Know nothing about Corsas but your description suggests to me the master cyl is not generating any pressure, ie fubared.

Top marks for keeping a cool head and saving the car (no pun intended given the flames as he entered the pitlane ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) ).

Not wearing a seatbelt - whilst strapped into a bucket seat with a 4 point harness... the sheepish look on the officer's face was a picture.
The most amusing one though was on the A590 roundabout at Levens very late one night. I'd been doing my usual late night run along the A65, no traffic so fully committed (if you know what I mean) - came round a right hander in the middle of the road to find a police car parked up in the layby on the left. Nothing I could do about it so carried on but keeping a watchful eye on the mirror for any lights. Got to the M6 roundabout without seeing any lights so relaxed. Was 2/3 the way down the straight to the A590 roundabout when I saw the pursuit car and duck me, he was going some. Pulls me over on the roundabout, doesn't mention my pace but is really interested in the car - seats, cage, lights, etc. "Goes well for a 1 litre, doesn't it" says the officer... Decided to not mention the engine swap that I hadn't got round to telling the DVLA about !

Mine's a Silverline (£12 off Amazon so probably the cheaper end of the market) - works great on the wafer thin panels of my 80s French hot hatch.

Erbauer 4-20mm £12.99 from Screwfix - haven't blunted it yet despite drilling stainless with it - unlike the £2.99 one from Lidl that went blunt after three holes in thin mild steel.

My rally car - Jenveys, ITG filter, 8.5krpm - not cheap by any measure but awesome sound. A mate got some video of it at Cadwell (from the cafe) - above all the other noise, you heard it all the way from when it exited Mansfield (fortunately rally regs are an exhaust noise test (and that end is really quiet) :-)

Interchangeabilty of parts across different manufacturers is more interesting to me than across models from a single manufacturer - the windscreen washer jets on my Octavia, for example, are the same as the VW Polo (and why shouldn't they be - if it's already in inventory then why re-invent the wheel).
More interesting is that when I was rallying a Talbot Samba and needed a bigger alternator to power all the lights hanging off the front, the one I ended up with was off a Rolls Royce & bolted straight on ...
