The thing I most like (styling wise) about the breadvans is the rear arch though.

The white one looks so right... the red one, not so much.

I concurr "Round rear arches are wrong on a breadvan!" The clean straight lines are the best thing about the shape of the breadvan, and why I prefer the mk2 to the slightly rounder mk3.

My old one rubbed with 14inch P slots on and it weren't as low as I wanted it to be. I do agree the rear arch's are a curse word when fatting the rimage. It's just character building and part of the charm ;D

I was surprised it works so well and like you say. the color helps greatly. Confession time. I did think when I typed that it looked as if the pic below might be my old one and tempting as it is to let people believe such a creation was born of my hand... alas it is not true Mine was a Mk3 which despite looking fairly clean was hiding a whole host of woe so was sent over the scales 4 years back. A regretful situation though I learned a lot with that car so it's all good. Still have a real soft spot for a good breadie. Bumperless kind of works though for me there's a bit to much ugly lurking underneath IMHO. Fat rears sorted nicely with flare, stance and rake Looks familiar

not a breadvan, but not bad for a first car If that's the one that was in fast car and I recall correctly I think that used to be a bready but has had the back cut off to make a caddy And how do you make the rear arches like this ?

it was sold on a few times after I sold it went up north then down south then came back to essex and is still in essex somewhere as far as I know Bloke in Rainham has it mate, saw it parked there yesterday, if you turn left in Rainham before the railway line then drive as if going towards Purfleet and the Fire station you will see it parked up on the drive, still looks good.

Uhhhm yeah so I may have joined the forum purely for this thread so much love for a breaddy! Thought I'd post a pic of mine up - it may not be everyone's cup of tea but I'm sure you can appreciate all the work that has gone into it, especially the rear arches being flared and having the swage line put back in. Any dark marks on the paintwork are from my camera - it's got a dirty sensor and needs sending off for cleaning :[ It was standard when I got it, and has been my pride and joy for the last 3 and a half years <3
