The Nissan 300zx Z32 was just one of those cars. You know the ones, the ones that despite a winning combination of features they just never gain the Popularity they deserve. The 300zx seemingly has what car enthusiasts are after, twin turbo V6, RWD and its Japanese! But it seems that most of the people who bought them were middle aged wide boys, gansters or Frank Bruno. Maybe it was the "made for the Americans" Styling. Maybe it was size of them. Maybe it was the complicated V6 engine. Maybe nothing could beat the early Z-cars! But all the modified ones I've seen gracing the streets have been covered in "aero" and woefully under wheeled. However they do have an amazing amount of potential and as with most things it really is a case of Right wheels, Right Ride Height:

Yeah exactly. I see them in kind of the same light as MA70 Supra's.

That is very nice. I've always had a thing for these since I had a toy 'fairlady Z' when I was a kid.
There's standard one I've seen around Taunton a few times, and they've got a hell of a lot of presence out on the road. Very low, very wide, good combination if you ask me!

I don't think I'd change a thing with this one. I usually don't like the "m3" mirrors, but they don't even look that bad on this...

I've posted these before, but here's mine.......... I use it daily. I'll admit it is underwheeled and that was one of the first things I was going to attend to after I bought it just under a year ago, but as the majority of my efforts with it have been firefighting the almost perpetual foibles, breakages and leaks I've not got round to it yet. I've kind'a made a mental decision to wait till it needs new tyres now. It's also unbelievably complicated and whenever I can it goes to Zedworld in Tamworth for spannering because by and large it scares most mechanics and they're not inclined to touch it. That said, I love it! When it's 'on song' it blows my mind how ridiculously fast and poised it is. They are rare enough, (and in my mind pleasing to the eye), to attract a lot of complimentary comments and wistful glances. In my opinion, you can't improve much on the look of them, (I've seen some horrors!), but some of the examples shown earlier are rather pretty. My one's a keeper and from now on I'll have the time and resources to be able to work through all the cosmetic/niggly things that've been on my 'todo' list for nearly a year.

I too love 'em..... have driven a few while looking for a twin turbo version and it's on the must have list for sure. I also have the stripped out (now chopped up) Z31 turbo manual - if it hadn't been mullered by previous owners I would gladly have used that.....
Anyone witnessing myself and OB trying to kill testing the motor at RR09 can testify they put up with some punishment when on song.
Excellent cars and well worth a LOT more attention than they get from petrol heads.

Like these alot, pitty they suffer from a medalion man image and ownes who have a love of tribal style stickers. That black one is very, very badass Have a RB powered one Would getting rid of the V6 and replacing it with an RB make it More economical and more simple?

Would getting rid of the V6 and replacing it with an RB make it More economical and more simple? Maybe, if it was an RB25 (or SR20? ) and you could get a dead 300ZX. An RB26 is probably a bit on the pricey side.
