You will probably find that they are the product of a South American factory, possibly Brazil or Argentina. Even over here ( in Mallorca) you can still find SEAT badged Fiats which are unlike any of the models Fiat sold in England EG: and... Any other variations of cars sold in the UK?

Are any of them tuned and tweaked for more power, you know with smaller car badges on the boot and folded back seats ?

These two were sold as a Buick Sail in China, until earlier this year when they rebadged them Chevy Sails. The Ford Fiesta saloon is also sold in China. In fact, a lot of hatchbacks found in the UK had a boot stuck on them over in China?

umm...pick up looks cool.
maybe in a few years we'll be talking about slamming a Vauxhall Corsa Van (the big cube vans) over 13" ATSs...lol!
also, i remember reading that you often find little cars with boots attached (skoda fabia and renault clio/megane are examples in europe) because most other countries (like france) think the saloons look better and more expensive.

(insert giggle here) ;D Opel Corsa D A new version of the Gamma platform has been codeveloped by Fiat and Opel. It will be used by the 2006 Fiat Grande Punto (a stretched version of the Fiat Punto), 2007 Opel Corsa and future versions of Lancia Ypsilon and Fiat Idea. GM Daewoo will take responsibility for future development of the Gamma platform, so the production of the future Corsa might be outsourced to South Korea as well. The first official pictures of the 2007 Corsa were released by Opel in May 2006. From Wikipedia

China also has a booted Clio (not the latest version, at least i've only seen the previous one)
They tend to work on a smaller scale, they have bigger tax breaks for small cars yet the saloon is seen as more luxury... hence supermini saloons.

Having just come back from China after a 2 year work posting out there, I have seen some very 'interesting' domestic-brewed cars...
