After I just saw one of these dropped to the floor and sitting on some JDM alloys in Bangkok I am developing a thing for them. Anybody know much about them? Front wheel drive is a shame. Charlie i quite like these, definat potential, zx ones have about 130bhp and a LSD!

Ferrari 412.....bit fugly, some would say not a real Ferrari IMHO, those that say it's not a real Ferrari should do some research into Ferrari's history first........ I'm voting Volvo P1800. Incredibly gorgeous looking cars, and very tough mechanicals - an 1800 is currently the Guinness Book of Records highest car mileage holder, with 2 million miles & only one engine rebuild (at 800,000)

If you get the Bullitt DVD and watch the special features they tell you the Charger is a 440 and when filming it was significantly faster than the two mustangs they used in the shoot. (It is possible my memory is failing and I heard that elsewhere but ive definately heard it) I'm surprised these havnt been included. Really sexy and sound mint

Yep Bullitt ive got the DVD too. The Charger was used because it was considered the only car capable of withstanding the punishment of a thrash around San Fransisco ( i think they were going to use Ford Galaxies but thought better of it) The Stang, I'm pretty sure was 289cu powered, hence the big difference in performance. Anyway who cares? The Charger was the car that set my dreams alight, the car i have always promised myself that one day i would own. The Mustang Fastback, as ive got older, i have conceded is bloody near damn perfect a coupe shape as you can get. Sorry there are some smart motors on this thread but they cant match a car that was built for the masses and not the few and a car that is an icon all these years later, nothing ive seen here ( Capri excepted and thats more out of nostalgia) comes close.

Those record/commodore coupes are indeed a freaking GREAT looking car. There was a mint one on Irish eBay a while ago, the lad was asking a lot of money for it and threatening to paint it orange and put ‘01’ on the doors if no-one bought it, almost seemed like blackmail really. Don’t know if anyone bought it. Hopefully he will catch a horrible disease and die anyway before opening his tin of orange.
