As usual banger racers try and defend people within their ranks. Who cares if a racer didn't nick it. Why are racers buying cars with the chassis numbers ground off?
I've changed my opionion and now i'm assuming that all banger racers are thieving scumbags/knowingly racing dodgy cars unless proved otherwise.

the repairs on the wings are identical. the colour difference could be the fact that the cameras were different and there is a lot of reflection from the greenery in the banger photo. I wasn't aware of the time it was gone.

Is that actually the same car? It looks green in the dumped pictures and blue in the first one. Huh? It's dark blue in both pics, and there are numerous other details that match - e.g. the mirror plinth position & style (mirrors were usually dealer fit on cars of this age, rather than factory), and also a non OEM chrome fitting on the front panel / bonnet.

I've got two professionally calibrated IPS monitors here. The colour reproduction is exact.
One car is green, one's blue.
Now obviously differences in camera and light can make all the difference, but there's no denying the fact that the cars appear different colours in the picture.

Just at a different angle/lighting. Also its just a case of looking at the car itself and past what colour you think it may be. Its got very identifiable features. Also note the very specific wheel/tyre choice fitted to it when dumped... Oh where have i seen nicely painted wheel with lower profile tyres fitted to jags before.

I think its blue in both pictures.
In the first picture the car is wet which always makes the colour stand out more.
Plus in the second picture you can see marks on the bonnet where it looks like the car has had a rub down? which again has probably changed the shade of blue.
There is also the small round grill things at the front, I don't know what they are called but the left one has a little thing sticking from the top and the one on the right looks like its snapped off, the same in both pictures

For chrissakes!!! Its the same bloody car! The first pic its a natural patina blue, the after pic its been heavily rubbed down. You cannot compare the colour of the car in its before and after stage because of that. Why the debate? The car got stolen to banger race, it became to hot to handle so they dumped it and they will, undoubtedly steal something else to banger from somebody who does not have access or knows people who have access to these types of forums where merry hell can be created. They are scum, stealing cars to banger is probably only a small part of their existence in spending their days breaking the law. The banger movement has absolutely no interest in stopping and shopping them because the people doing it are well known faces and not the kind of people you cross. If they were just the odd 1% of d*ckless wonders, they would have been shopped ages ago but they are not and nobody will. Banger racing is one of the more "incestuous" of motor sport hobbies, everybody knows everybody and its a whole father to son, to grandson thing. The notion that "nobody has a clue who is stealing cars to banger" carries as much weight as the BNP declaring that they are not racist...... Just keep your stuff bolted down, its the only way you will get to keep it.

Its back, yes, but unfortunatley in lots worse condition than it left. it wuld be a remarkable feat of goodwil if anyone in any community(perhaps the friend?) could point to a area / shed / storage facility that may contain the removed parts, or at least the brightwork! think id be bending the friends ear again that heard about it, the parts could be passed thru several friends?
consider visiting the jag dismantlers locally too... you may find ur trim
