Hoodride style. Slammed on red steelies with fat whitewalls. On 2nd thoughts - no. A friend got a 944T after having an early Civic VTiR. The stock power scared him; it stepped sideways on tram tracks in the rain (only in the rain? Not trying hard enough!) and he backed it into his letterbox after a month of ownership. Don't do that and you'll be right. Also - wagons FTW!

I thought it was the 924's with the van engines and the 944 had nice 4 cylinder 16v's and tubo's etc?

id prefer a 944 over a 924, but wouldnt say no to either the potential for making a badass looking race car type vehicle is too much to resist. and people would think you are some sort of awesome geezer for having a porsche racecar....maybe/

A 924 has been under heavy consideration in the past... definatly a car with much potential... the 944 similarly!

The image might be the only thing to put me off..... but its hard to care about things like that with all of the virtues listed above.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Deffo going to be a 944, and those wagons are cool aren't they? Shame they're not lying about all over the place... Been doing some research and a solid looking, slightly shabby 944 Lux which is 2.5ltr, NA and about 150bhp can be bought for £1500-2K. About a grand more than I usually spend, ahem, but more amazingly is the insurance for a 24yr old, parked on the street can be had for £380! That's not even through an owners club. Teledials do rock too, only trouble I'm having is that they're Porsche fitment, so naturally I want to fit something other than standard rims... Having said that though, detailed Fuchs would look good, brown suede paint and low back vinyl seats to keep it subtle. Deist harness...
