Alloys are mid refurb (wishing i hadn't started as they need coating and rubbering next). got a shonky spare off bay to try up. Not sure what i think now. size is good... What do you's think bearing in mind i can have the wheels any (sensible) colour? selling the new wheels and putting new tyres on the std 14's is the sensible choice

Are the new wheels the cosworth ones? They look far better.

Definately like the cosworth wheels, they're a handsome rim. I know its always tempting to go crazy with colour changes when refurbing wheels, purely because you can... but silver always looks best IMO.
Sierra looks clean as!

Cheers street, that is the best side though. LOL its having a full clean up soon if i'm keepin it, which i probably am. Rims currently look like this except with filed shiney rim edge. would love to clear coat em in sand blast guize but has a mishap with wd40 splodges and near misses wil the file. i like the colour/texture though

Those original wheels look quite frankly GHEY imo. Too small and very anodyne. Surprising, considering how many ace wheels ford have knocked out over the years (in fact they continue to do I reckon).
You should defo stick with the cosworth ones, they are far cooler. Are they desirable? WHats the chances of some nob jockey robbing them?

I went over to lattices on my XR4x4. They are a nice wheel and can only go upwards in value as they get more rare.

kyteler, You're right! I never thought of that, well its a colour option! Mr B. I prefer the fatter spokes, never been sure about Fords directional alloys. As for the size it does suck, they were all 14's apart from Cossie and the odd XR4x4.

Yeah at the mo they are not worth loads, possibly enough to nick, and as MWF says surviving rims will get a bit more collectable in the future. There is one other option if ATS comes back to the FS section...

The Cosworth rims look good, I'd probably be boring and go for silver - still plenty of shades of silver to check out though!
I hadn't realised how small 14s look on a standard-height Sierra!
What tyre size are you going for?

Good question as you know i have some -25's up my sleeve, but at standard height it was suggested i go for big tyres 205/55/15's. Might be different when the springs are fitted (205/50's) which will be done at the same time i recon. Does anyone think these ETA Beta things are better looking? If so i could try email ats and see if he'll take a few notes and a dozen subway stamps...

Deffo go for the lower profile if you intend to lower it.

Deffo go for the lower profile if you intend to lower it. I'd go with that. My new beastie has 205/50s and stock suspension (in good order) - rides nicely and the handling's not bad at all. The arch gaps don't look silly as long as it's not parked next to anything low.... Those alternative rims look cool, having trouble picturing them on a Sierra though. Bonus points for being different!
