the resto has officially started today is a hot day, very hot indeed. iso i decide to get all mucky and sweaty and remove the heater bowl it started off like this - had a bit of a pokey around, found a hole :pinch: not to be set back, i got the drill out and now it looks like this might get the mig out in a bit, but i think its too hot to be wearing a big ol mask

I'm a bit wobbly as I got a bit too much sun yesterday trying to get my pasty carcass brown . So not too much strenuous work for me today - just preparing the Merc for its journey to the workshop...

i LOVE getting stuck in like that... some people who try and work around the problem and try and weld it in place or fill it with gobbo... get it off and do it proper !!

you know how it is, you start something, and end up getting carried away and taking it that one step further etc i removed the heater bowl took a wire brush to the bit on the car removed all the waxoyl, and surface rust, and then give it a generous coating of kurust will paint it lovely red oxide red tomoro and get it welded
