Been working in italy for a few days and took a few photos of some spots. Being italy you would expect a load of italian classics, Ferrari, Lamborghini or maybe some 60`s or 70`s fiats, but no saw nothing of any real interest just some rusty 80`s and 90`s fiat group motors. Excuse the photo quality it was late at night and my phones camera is a bit pants. modern little lancia And my ride while I was there . Steel plant special so battered to hell with doors that need a good boot to close.

That white estate is a Uno estate, they are often badged as an Innocenti for some reason though. It’s the windowed version of the fiat ‘Citivan’ which I was lusting after a few weeks ago.

I spent some time working in Milano for Drexel, Burnham & Lambert (stock brokreage) and most of the guys & gals there owned expensive sportcars like Ferrari, Porsche, etc. but they would almost never leave them on the streets after sunset, some only used them on weekends to go for long speedy runs to Positano, Trastevere in Rome and other "Hot Spots" since in Italy there's a big problem with vandalizing of expensive cars, they get "keyed", bombed with spraypaint and generally damaged if left unatteded. So most high end cars are stored away in garages but go to a Hot club or restaurant in Milano or Trastevere and outside you'll see them in droves, guarded by nasty looking types. In Italy almost everybody owns a scooter of some kind for daily transportation.....

I'm usually pretty disappointed with italy from a car-spotting point of view TBH. I always hope to see some grade-A crud like an Alfa 90 or early Lancia Delta, I usually end up disappinted tho.

I've been here for a while taking a look. I'm from Argentina so, nothing to say usually. But I have now. We had here and Brazil a derivative from the Fiat Uno with a trunk. In Argentina it was called Fiat Duna (different in Brazil, I think). It had an estate version called Fiat Duna Weekend. Take a look in Google. In Argentina they were only 4 doors and in Brazil, mostly 2 doors (like in the picture). I know we exported the estates to Italia rebadged Innocenti.

Welcome fjsigma . Nice to see more international members on here ;D I agree about Italy and retro car-spotting... it's not as great as I thought it would be for old clunkers. Which part of Italy was this PhoenixC? I suspect Bologna but I don't know why

I suspect Bologna but I don't know why Dalmine, near Bergamo. That Uno estate thing not sure of the year but must have been early to mid 90`s as its the new shape Uno front end.

Here's a snap of a Citivan I took some 6 years ago. Certainly the first and the last one I've seen.
