I'm leaving for the Czech republic wednesday at 4:30am, just a few problems to sort out first. prop centre bearing and UJ, rear crank seal, clutch judder(new clutch+reface flywheel), rear diff is a little low geared for motorway cruising, front suspension needs ball joints and bushes and track rod ends are worn. diff removed gearbox removed, rear crank seal fitted refaced flywheel new diff + spare in peices, only done 100miles, 3.9 instead of 4.3 Paul

holy cow, now you're talking! My preparatory work for long-distance missions normally extends to checking my mobile phone's charged up and eating a few apples.

Fair play, I rely on the old 'if it'll do ten miles, it'll do a thousand' theory... Never let me down yet. Best of British to you, just popping over for the weekend?

That's what I call preparation! I usually go with the standard: fill the tank, check the tyres, locate RAC membership card and turn up the stereo if there are any funny noises type preparation for long trips - you look much more thorough! ;D Get some pics at the 'Ring for us lot!

yes i am, I'm meeting him in germany on thursday.
the rear axle is almost back together, just got to put the drums on and fill it with oil. the flywheel and clutch are on and the gearbox is ready to go in, i cleaned all the curse word off it, makes the job a little nicer to do.

It's not... Yet... Something fairly major happened to his new engine which resulted in a hole in the side of it or something (not sure). He's working on it as much as he can to get it sorted in time!
Fingers crossed!
