That's pretty damn awesome! Bit weird to use though and its freezing cold in winter, going off experience with my stainless steering wheel it will probably be red hot and untouchable in summer but it looks good and that’s all that matters website for handbrakes here www.triggerhandbrakes.com/

I painted under spare wheel and petrol tank in grey hammerite when i got the car to match the body wrap and then sprayed matt black the car was painted but as the hammerite is starting to flake off I’ve stripped it down to bare metal and re painted with por 15 Once the por 15 is fully cured it will be painted over with matt black My new engine start switch, bracket made to mount under dash These switch box’s where used to destroy the "special radio" equipment on B-24 heavy bomber's so that it would not be captured by the enemy.

thanks^^^^^ Tax disc holder made from a 18 pounder brass shell case First job was to unscrew the centre/primer so it could be mounted on lathe and part off what’s left of the shell case leaving me with the base The shell base had a radius in the corner so i had to machine it out to 90 degrees so i could fit an inner ring, the centre also had to be machined down ring machined from black nylon sheet, this ring is stuck to the windscreen and the brass shell is held on by a tight fit and a small grub screw on the top to make sure it doesn’t fall off Tax disc holder fitted polished up with mothers billet polish

New winter wheels, fancied a change from the Wellers 13 inch rostyles with 185/60/13 on the front and 205/60/13 on the rear I might repaint them black and silver but the blue is starting to grow on me

Long time no updates I’ve been using this car for the past 3 years and it got to the point where it’s not practical to use as my daily driver anymore so I decided to buy a metro use as my daily and keep the viva as a summer/show car I have been gathering suspension parts for a while and the plan is to rebuild a front suspension unit over winter which will include anti roll bar, bigger drum brakes and tension rods I am also fitting when I get time a recon 1057 engine which will have the ‘90’ head on My dad visited goathland north Yorkshire where the TV series heartbeat was filmed and he got talking to a shop owner in the village who had a photo album of pics taken when the series was being filmed and in the album was a couple of pics of my car which he kindly let us have Still experimenting in casting poly bushes, made a set of rear shackle bushes in 60A shore I am currently using 90A poly bushes machined on the lathe, they are a bit squeaky so I might swap them and test these new bushes which are softer

Custom made floor mats Viva logos are made from alloy chequer plate cut and filed by hand edges of the mats have been whipped by a local carpet company The viva logos haven’t been fixed to the carpet yet as I’m going to be fitting a floor mounted viva hc accelerator pedal, so i need to fit the pedal first so i can work out the position of the logo on the drivers side

I started reading the thread singing "Viva...... Las Vegas" to myself and was disappointed when I learned that the graphics were to go. But I've got to say, you've really worked some magic there, turning a really good car into a truly great one. Congratulations

Finally managed to collect all the bits needed to build a new front suspension unit, it’s took about 3 years to find all the bits i wanted and 3 full suspension units to make one good one as parts are either worn or too corroded to use Most of the parts are in this picture cleaned and prepped ready for por 15 New bottom wishbones with anti roll bar brackets welded on, viva ha’s didn’t have an anti roll bar fitted and most vans didn’t have them either it was only the top of the range heavy-duty Bedford HA 130 Engine mount modified to make a bracket for an engine damper Plates welded on the cross member uprights tops of the uprights have also been plated with two captive nuts welded in, i might make brace from one side to the other in the future Engine damper test fit with old engine

Looking forward to seeing you build this up and get it on the car. I can well imagine it'll transform the handling.

Front suspension is the only thing i haven’t touched on the car, it’s starting to make to odd squeak/ knock so it needs replacing. Hopefully the new shocks, bushes and anti roll bar should made it handle better, i plan on making a double anti roll bar
