Poly rear spring hanger bushes As you can see in the picture i haven’t copied the original bushes as 8 top hat bushes would take a long time to machine Instead I’ve made 4 bushes to the correct length and 8 poly washes/spacers for the ends Pic shows one set of poly bushes next to original cast rubber bushes

I continue to be amazed by the upgrades you make on this, that steering wheel is very unusual, but totally in keeping with the rest of the interior.

Thanks I’ve been looking for a steering wheel for months that’s unusual and different and i think i found it, it’s even more unusual because it’s off a boat

It being a boat wheel would explain why it looks so unusual, I thought it was most likely an expensive bespoke jobby. Might have to investigate boat wheels myself now, see what's out there. Your wipers seem very short.

Your wipers seem very short. Wipers are 13 inch same as the old ones, they do look small but there’s no need for any bigger as they wipe the majority of the screen

Bonnet buffer stops cast out of 70a polyurethane A black plastic cap was found with a good shape and size to make a mould from, a bolt was glued in so it could be suspended in plaster of Paris to create a mould The mould had 3 coats of a solvent based wax release agent and the polyurethane mixture poured in, a bolt was suspended in the mixture and the poly set around it Unfortunally the mould had to be smashed to release the items as it still managed to stick even with the release agent The bonnet buffers are 70a hardness witch is bout the same as rubber, I also added a red dye These where made just the test the process of casting polyurethane as I am planning on casting bushes

Yet more attention to detail, really satisfying stuff to read. Is the back going to sit higher with those new springs?

I do like the mixture of different styles here. The traffic light viewer and the boat 'wheel. The 'dials are a really nice touch.

Yet more attention to detail, really satisfying stuff to read. Is the back going to sit higher with those new springs? Thanks Yes the back sits higher. I thought the 30kg sub box would drop it back down but it made little difference, although the springs seem to have settled over a couple of days driving. I still have room to use lowering blocks as I’ve used long u bolts from a lowering kit if I wanted to obviously the rear is a lot stiffer now but its not uncomfortable in fact it seems to handle the bumps in the road better and the car has a lot less body roll as I can now drive around corner's above 10mph without sliding off the seat ;D Will post pics up soon
