But you can sort a big FE or 385Series BBF in there. Steal it out of KFW's truck when he's not looking! KFW's truck has some kind of Massey Fergason (or Perkins more like) diesel engine in it. Nothing is as it should be. There's a Chevy on eBay right now with a 3 litre Nissan diesel under the hood. Seen a Pontiac Parisienne for sale with a Jag straight six in it. Where will it end?

The decision isn't down to me, it's something to be agreed between Al, John and myself. As we discussed at the unit last night Ross, a 1UZ-FE would be an awesome choice for A) being a V8, B) being uber reliable, C) having lots of power & torque, D) being easy & cheap to source, E) because it's a nice leftfield conversion compared to going the usual american eight cylinder metal. Shame I've already got a buyer for the one at the unit. With the auto box and wiring loom, it's pretty much all there to plumb in. I'll see what John & Al think over the weekend when we start planning things. Just got back from a wood collecting mission to power the woodburners over the weekend so won't have chance to put the rust photos up yet....but hope to later.

Britain seems to be taking advice from Cuba when it comes to keeping US iron running with whatever parts are to hand! ;D Glad the beast has landed at base. This is such a great example of why RR is awesome.

oh sh1t really should have read this post sooner! seen the wagon 3/4 of weeks ago when it was at the owners garage(west country classics) but he moved it to my mates yard(1/2 mile up the road from my work ) some time last couple of weeks! did have a dig around it then.. and as said, it has a bit of rot here and there! but it is defo worth saving anyway. really nice to see its gone to a REALLY good home.. and look forward to seeing it at RR2010..sorry I did'nt see this earlyer.might have been able to help out with the move..and would'nt have minded poping over to say hello seeing as you drove all that way(to the end of the earth!!) p.s. was the little off road go cart type thing still in the yard?? (EDIT: just had another look at the photos.. and it was there! ) and the road sweeper scamp?!!!! did Fancy take them home with you?? for a bit of the AREA 52 treatment!! ;D
