I'm guessing this is an Ford Fairline aussie version as it would tally with it being RHD. It looks like the cars were bought from Ford of Canada then put together in Australia Good thing is that the aussie and yank versions are both the same (no annoying little differences) wiki of aussie version..... "The 1964 models were the last Fairlanes to be assembled in Australia from designs identical to the North American model of the same name. Model changes also tended to follow the U.S. models."

I'd love to think of being being MOT'd by the 25th, but somehow think that might be stretching it! I hope to have the doors off by the end of the weekend, possibly Monday at the latest for a better look at what needs sorting in those areas.....Once the doors are off it'll be a lot easier to start assessing the other parts and working out a game plan.
Hopefully I'll have lots of details and lots & lots of photos after the weekend.
Looking forward to seeing Al and John at the unit, I don't think the three of us will be able to get together very often due to John's location....but between the three of us we'll make it happen one way or another.

Just had a PM from Slacker offering to do some pinstriping on the Wagon for free when we are at that stage and if we want any (I'm pretty sure there will be a few places where some striping would be perfect ) It's offers like this that make the project so worth it. It's what makes RR so special. Thanks Slacker. It's gonna be quite a while I reckon but when the time comes, your kind offer will come in very useful no doubt and will be very appreciated. In the meantime, RTLKYuubi comes down to A52 fairly regularly - he's only in Sheffield. Steathstylz is in Barnsley and pretty much passes you on his way. He's down quite often too. Always worth contacting them if you want a lift down - as I said, you're more than welcome

I think that rust has been brewing for many years rather than suddenly popping out since its been outside. I'm with you on that Seth, I reckon it's been speeded up by it's 2 years outside, but was already there nibbling away at the metal.
