The Eagle has landed ;D Just a mobile phone pic for now, I'll get some better shots today and post them up when I get home later. More info to come but I figured some of you were anxious to see it in daylight. Boy is this going to be an epic project!

Awesome. Is there a "multi welder" meet planned where we get a few welders + machines together and crack on.

Got a very vague lead on some doors in California, working on the assumption that the previously mentioned container guy can help with the shipping.

Got a very vague lead on some doors in California, working on the assumption that the previously mentioned container guy can help with the shipping. Blimey Will, if this leads anywhere then you'll have probably saved a LOT of work (you'll begin to understand when you see the rest of the pics later) If they do come about and they are 4dr '64 doors then I am sure we'll be very interested. I think the doors will have to be removed this weekend before they actually fall off and cause themselves any more damage. I have a faint hope that they can be saved, but this is a very faint hope the more I look at them, so any leads that result in a possible set of good doors is always going to be a good thing. Thanks again Dude. ;D John, travel safe. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow along with Thomas. Al is coming over on Sunday so we can get together and discuss things after you've both had a good look over the car.

Looks great (you know what I mean). Can't wait to see this thing in the (oxidized) tin! I know what you mean, it does look great....until you start to open anything! I've removed the quarterlight in the front door so that the car can be steered without having to open the door. It took me about 1/2hr to shut it this morning because all the skins/frame have gone their seperate ways (literally) and the door was folding in on itself rather than shutting. The sooner we can get them off the better! BK Code engine! "Royale with cheese." Errrr.....sorry to disappoint you Norm but the engine is currently an Essex V6 with 4 on the floor!! Just so wrong!

It took me about 1/2hr to shut it this morning because all the skins/frame have gone their seperate ways (literally) and the door was folding in on itself rather than shutting. The sooner we can get them off the better! I can make you feel good. Last week I broke a 1980 M535i (one of not-very-many) that had rusted so bad in the front doors, that the front drivers door was held on by the ancient door seal. Once opened it slid down the the ground. To remove the internals, I grabbed the inner skin, and bent the inner round 180*so that it was backed up against the outer... have a 'it could be worse' pic

But I see cheese on the nearside rocker box! ;D Yes, it is quite wrong. But you can sort a big FE or 385Series BBF in there. Steal it out of KFW's truck when he's not looking! Errrr.....sorry to disappoint you Norm but the engine is currently an Essex V6 with 4 on the floor!! Just so wrong!
