Does anyone know if there are any rwd gearboxes that will mate upto the ford mondeo V6? I know they're mazda derived, so I assume they're not standard ford bellhousing fitment. What about Mazda MX5 or RX7? Any help greatfully recieved. At this point i'd normally put some cool pics up but i'm on my phone so can't

Yes there is a rwd gearbox that will mate up to the duratec tho i cant remember what it was! Jag gearbox? I was interested in fitting an Duratec V6 to an audi transaxle at one stage and had some great help from the locostbuilders forum.
Some people on there have put Duratec V6's in their locosts. I will take a quick look and see if can find out, otherwise a post on there would bring up the answer.

Cant comfirm this but is there not a Mazda van, E2000 ? Rings a bell somewhere that the gearbox fits straight on the V6. . . . Or i could be dreaming it.

Are the Mondeo engines much cheaper than the jag 3 litre ones? would seem easier to buy the engine and box from a totalled jag as its already in one piece with the clutch and stuff ready to go.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.

Hmmm I think I can get a whole Mondeo for the Price of the Jag engine. However it would mean extra performance and the engine already ready set up for a RWD application.
Just checked the specs and the S type V6's have 240hp and drag the Jag to 60 in 6.9 seconds! I'm liking this idea a lot. Lose the cats and it should see a bit more power!

Actually charging it is a good idea - there were a number of development engines (and cars) running supercharged V6's - one was described to me as being really rather quick (something off a very polished shovel) in a certain AWD Mondeo based car....... not exactly sure how the system was setup, but don't think it was all that much different to the stock motor (will look into it if I bump into the right people again )

I have a Fast for from a few years ago with a Supercharged Mondeo ST200 Running aroung 300hp on lowish boost. TBH I think the Stock 240 would be more than enough for what I need. I will have to start saving hard! No holiday for me next year Oh and Think Boosted Duratec think:
