how about, buy my manta wheels for £80 with tyres, and leave the bloody thing alone, If you really want to paint a bonnet black do your golf. I think the way of not looking a complete bulb in a corsa is just to leave it well alone. lol

I got it thanks to the post above, if only pictures were not so hard to find of standard nova's! those standard SR steel wheels off novas with triangles cut out painted silver or white, cant remember if manta ones are the same. saw some nova 3 spoke allos too but i'm not conviced about that, lowerage is needed too and 'cleaning' Problem with popular small cars is getting pushed around or being pulled out on, on the roads, used to get it a lot in the polo/micra etc, so butching it up a bit too might be needed. still needs to be discreet though so the bodykit brigade don't harrass you all the time at the lights!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

manta ones are 5 spoke things, they did a simular version they put ont he mki astra that where 4 spoke. Sorry Darren i was a little harsh with my last post, but like me with the Vectra/Lada combination, one car stays totaly standard run aobut for work, the other is your project car or what ever, thats the best way to do it...

Yep that seems to be what i'm ending up doing to my daily, its pretty soul destroying driving summat with no character. I remember having my hair cut a lot into a crappy style by accident, at the same time as ending up with brand new red new fiesta from insurance compny, after happily looking perfectly different and owning a cool mk1 xr2. I still cant find a picture of those steelies. some ATS's(?) off a manta could work ok too though

Aha, ignore the car, these are the wheels, they don't look that good though.

can you make red paint fade? i know VX reds usually fade to pink less than a month after purchase but that really faded pink above, with the black bonnet, looks ace. i was thinking a good work over with brillo pads but i don't know that it wouldn't have the opposite effect, and uncover unfaded paint. it's less "forced rat" and more "i don't give a monkeys, cos i'm too cool". apologies if that's the actual colour, it just looks lighter than the original photos. loving the steels+caps, and fablon has to be in it somewhere

It's actually pinking quite rapidly - I leave it parked in the sun all day deliberately I'm wondering if keeping it wet in the sun (no hosepipe ban up here! hah hah!) will accelerate the process, might experiment over the weekend if the sun's out ;D Also, I've managed to blag a set of secondhand 13" moon discs for it, but I'm not sure yet if they'll work or not. Pick them up in a couple of weeks

Nice work!! That's the only Corsa I've seen for years where the bumper colour actually matches the wheelarches! Dare you to shine up the Stunner tyres and respray the steelies in gloss black! Would look ace!
