Many moons ago I had a set of 6J x 14 Cups on my Skoda Felicia, but don't think I've ever seen 6J x15s
Sweet wagon this, white with half coded bumpers and the old school rim choice is a winning formula!

I have seen 15x6 on ebay.de also seen 15x7 et20 and also et35 aswell as the usual et28s so there is plenty of options with them to get them perfect (not that there is anything wrong with your set up!) i agree B3s do look better tucked upfront

so today after being up at silly o clock watching the moto gp, wendy and i went for a huge fry up.. had a siesta.. then spent the rest of the day tinkering again tinted the rear lights, finished off fitting the load cover, fitted new mk3 steering wheel, feels great biggest job was sorting the paint, as its white you cant quite see how filthy it was, deep down grime - so today i've cut it all back - by hand - then polished, by hand and then waxed - again all by hand - buffed up and started treating soem of the black too its nowhere near complete yet, but another huge step... pics.. new wheel and fitted shiney shiney load cover in little pose family shot showing the lows... tomorrows plans up to CQ's in the morning, change thermostat and also sort the oil leak, have already changed all gaskets, so were gonna try the crank seal, which i'm not doing on the drive.. any commenst welcome please....

got the hump today
drove up to cq's - we changed the oil crank seal, renewed the thermostat and put a new rubber rocker gasket on instead of the cork
put it all back together, fired it up and went for a spin - running lumpy, feels like the timings out, so we checked it all out and all the marks lined up, double and triple checked and everything lined up
so took for another spin and it felt bitter, still slightly underpowed compared to how it was but felt smooth
left it parked up for a few hours, went out again and felt worse..
so this time i lined up the timing marks exactly as before, got out my strobe gun and fired up, looks like its running out of time somehow - cant understand why..
changes made, new rocker gasket and crank seal, so oil pressue could be up, new water and thermostat in system - otherwise everthing else the same - even stuck on a new dizzy cap and arm.. the arm lines up with the notch as its supposed too
anyways, thought i would twiddle with the dizzy, stripped back, found the nut - but can i shift - can i buggary
wont budge
so any ideas guys n gals - why would it now be out of time
hopefuly a twist of the dizzy will get it back up, but i cant shift the bolt....

I'd first check the obvious things, like check you havn't knocked a wire/pipe off somewhere.. if the spark is jumping around around it's probably a naffed advance mech or terminally shagged dizzy.. Love these old things my 1.6TD B3 wagon was one of the best cars I've ever owned, never managed less than 45 mpg and i do tend thrash 'em along, my mrs managed over 60 mpg and over 1000 miles on a tank of fuel in it! takes HEAVY olds 350 V8 engines with ease...

Ignition timing on the 8V engines is easily upset when doing the timing belt as the dizzy runs off the jackshaft that usually operates the mechanic fuel pump on the old carb models. The 'number one' mark on the dizzy isn't always the best thing to go on. the timing can still be a bit off even set on that mark. just keep soaking the bolt in WD/plusgas/DoubleTT for a few times a day for a few days. It'll come loose eventually ;D New crank seal and rocker cover gasket aren't gonna affect the oil pressure to the point of the engine running bad unless it just plain didn't have a seal fitted before.

does that still have that rubber flange between the injection unit and the air intake manifold ? Maybe you have damaged it while working on the other things and you have a massive air leak then ... ?

I think you may have just hit the nail on the head there sir.. ;D ;D I shall investigate tonight (if it warms up a bit)

so spent the morning under the bonnet found the issue, the timing was out, eventualy free'd off the dizzy and got the timing all set up.. purrs like a kitten now, sounds an drives great, pulls well to also raised up the front a teenie bit to stop major scrubbing (pretty much still looks same as it settled) anyway, the fact she's now running well doesnt chnge anything, she's still going up for sale - soemones going to get a fully sorted car - yes i may loose some money, but needs must full for sale thread to follow this evening
