Copy n paste from elsewhere. This amplifier was headed to the tip in Cambridgeshire. Rescued and then collected by my friend Fill who collected the RR. I think it's perfect because it's making you smile, and you sharing the tinker time with us is making us smile :thumb2 Speaking of which.... Engineer of this parish popped an advert up for a free guitar amp which I went over and picked up today. This was his partner's son's but he's moved on and uses higher end professional kit so this was destined for the skip. He's polished up the corners and buffed out some small rust spots and given the case an overall good clean and polish which are all the things I would have expected Grizz to do when it eventually lands on his doorstep. This one comes ready made I'm afraid Rian  Engineer also had it plugged in and played a few bits through it and to my untrained ears it sounds absolutely lovely. He also showed me a little trick with the reverb where if you put the reverb on and play something and then tap the amp on the top you can hear the noise of a spring vibrating - which is how you can tell it's got spring reverb rather than whatever the alternative to that is. I know nothing about these as I'm sure you can tell. Anyway, it's been rescued from an ignominious end and is safely stashed until I next pop over. Might be an excuse to come and have a nose at the two new stablemates in person.....  |

Found this awesomely patinad superbike at the tip last week. Can only be described as a shoddy tonka type thing. The lighter givs an idea of its size. Also found a large funky almost hypnotic iridescent lampshade. Had to see what it looked like lit up but in my place it looked like a ufo landing in medieval times, so I gave it to a mate. Anyway, the bike.  |
