You've done an awesome job so far I had to swallow a little bit of sick when I saw the first picture, but you've applied the equation and applied it well: (car+wheels)-rideheight=win Looking forward to seeing it arch'd. Can you turbo the diesel twin?

Thanks again everyone for the great response!
As for engine ideas, a bike makes the most sense. The diesel could probably be tweaked a bit, I would imagine, but I don't think the transmission would take too much extra grunt - I'm sure I could still see 'Kit-Kat' in some of the casings!

This car is so hideous it comes right out the other side and into fantasmical territory. Get some arches bolted on there and some Boso bits and bobs and job's a good 'un I reckon.
Bonkers, but in the best possible way.

This has the potential to be Build Thread Of The Year.
Completely off-the-wall thinking, creative engineering and awesome turd-polishing skills. Everything RR should be about, IMHO.
WIN WIN WIN. ;D

Excellent. You've made an Aixam that I would consider owning, which is no mean feat!
Makes every other car with a slam and rim job on here look obvious!

I must admit, I was thinking 'bike' before I'd even picked it up! These things weigh sub 400kg, so they've got potential. The suspension is dreadful though and the brakes are in a whole new league of awfullness! They're of such poor quality, I reckon parts from a quadbike would be a definate upgrade! We will have to wait for any major re-engineering, as I've got my Volvo to sort and my house extention to finish first! Zoe would be highly unimpressed if this took priority over her new kitchen! Plan was to get some arches on it and just have some fun in it. Considering some huge graphics for it though - any ideas on this welcomed..... I was thinking Manga Girls, or something? Joe Why not do something a little more original? Seeing as it's a Greenie/Granny mobile, why not do something along those lines? Like a granny with zimmer and a dirty hippy locked in a streetfighter-eque battle?

...if you need some arches, I have a a set of mini sportspack arches going spare? Cheers Matt, they could well do the job - how wide are they? Not sure if they'll be tall enough though, as there's still a fair bit of travel on the back due to the way I moved the shocks. May have to go for something more 'boso-esque' to avoid arch fouling. If anyone has a spare oil cooler kicking about drop me a line please , it doesn't need to be oil-tight. Some pipes would be handy too! Cheers, Joe

Cheers, Joe they are these ones in a flexible rubber, brand new. they cover a 7" rim on a mini, so stick on probably 2.5" approx I also have another set in a harder, almost rigid plastic that have been modded so they fit the front wings of a mini clubman. dunno if they'll do but might?

Clubbymatt - think I'm gonna have to try something different - I need arches that don't have the lower return part and it would be a shame to cut them up to try and get them to work.
Cheers though. If I get stuck, I may come grovelling back!
Joe
