Went to the tip today to dump a load of stuff after emptying my loft in preparation for moving in less than 2 weeks,. As usual, there were treasures there...... Found this scooter, and Nicola let me steal it and bring it home. Now she has appropriated it , so that she will have something powered at the Gathering. I do need a 3 pin , 24 volt charger to see if the batteries charge up, and also if the keep charge. I am sure someone has one in the shed or from another 24v toy. Can you help ?? Please PM if you have charger to donate or loan to me. Anyone know the lifespan of these 2x12V 24 volt battery packs ?

Remove the batteries and wire them in parralel and charge them with a normal car charger (unless its one big 24v battery)

pm me your address and I'll pop you a 24v charger in the post. I've got a load of brand new ones left over from a bulk purchse of electric bikes.

Nicola has taken control of her toy. She has a thing for skulls, Harleys and similar stuff. Some stickers, rats and other bits gotten at the bootfair today, with me applying.... She is having fun, as am I .

Errrrrmm.... yes it is hers, just found it at the tip and she claimed it for herself, to use at The Gathering. I have no issues with my feminine side, as long as I have Nicola there to pamper it. Pink does not scare me either.

Haha, brillient. Glad to see a few toys will be there! Just hope I don't break mine! I wonder what sort of speed it is capable of? Any room for another battery or two??

Up to... hmm, not wanting to sound rude, but I guess "up to" is a small person rating! More batteries required me thinks

Lol. It probably uses standard 12V lead acid batteries doesn't it? I think they are about £10 each on eBay.

you need to up the voltage to get the motor to spin faster so you either need to add more batteries and wire them in series or find some higher voltage batteries, maybe from rechargeable power tools, if you wire them in parallel it wont go faster but it will run for longer, you can get some quite pokey small batteries these days but as always the good ones cost money and running high voltages through the speed controller may well kill it.

need to be used on private land... don't want anyone collecting a shed load of points! They are Mechanically Propelled Vehicles, therefore the law applies to them!!!
