Ciao Retrositi.... Saw some pix in "the Ring" topic and it got me started, what is the best race track ever? best looking, strangest setting, etc.... My vote for all time best must be the Lingotto Fiat factory where cars were built and finally ended up to be tested on the roof..... Pure art..... Talladega Motor Speedway with it's 39 degree banking comes in a close second.... DP asks: What do you guys say........

Personally my favourite track is Donnington Park GP track. I just love the whole track the corners and straights changing cambers etc.

I like that one on the old ‘TOCA 2’ computer game where you can rag the Fiesta over a cliff instead of going round the circuit.

Any track other then Silverstone. The most boring track ever and you can only see one corner at a time.
I like the smaller tracks like Mallory Park and Cadwell.

Feels like I’m back on GT Planet discussing Gran Turismo 4, the “What’s your favourite track” thing came around very regularly there. Anyway, based purely on spectating/TV:
The 1.4-mile oval at Foxhall Raceway, Ipswich for its nostalgia and atmosphere, been going there for 20+ years.
Brands Hatch short circuit, because you can actually see most of the track.
Lydden Hill, for 70’s rallycross action.
Spa, just for the brilliant 70’s pictures of the 24hr saloon car races they had there, where there looks like hundreds of cars all jostling for position just after the start.
Oh, and GT4 did give me reason to respect the real life drivers who go flat out round the Ring, or did crazy speeds on the old unchicaned Le Mans circuit.

brands indy circuit first and foremost for all the above reasons plus it was the first time i spun an imp, complete with petrified marshal mate of mine in the co drivers seat and did it right in front of the chief marshal, luckily he didnt realise it was my car and i stayed stumm.second would be lydden for all the 90's rallycross action, martin schnache, part doran ,wilf dollop and the like( not a misprint,i don't like the guy)

Lydden Hill, for 70’s rallycross action. Remove the "70's" from that statement and I agree even more whole heartedly
