Will go and ogle the ford brown range in halfrauds tomorow! I know painting on rust effect is controversial, but i kinda like it ;D It'd make me laugh if they got another "spike" in demand for Ford Sable Brown - I used halfords rattle cans to paint my entire car last time round ;D ;D ;D

Hey chaps, I just found the pics of this T. It's a glass body with steel decklid. Painted on patina, surface rust and big weeping scabs on the glass. Got me well confused when I saw it. It rocks!!!

It was fun - I would have loved to have been at the council incinerator when our rubbish went in - I bet all those cans made a fair old pop

Jay's Turbo Oval has a 'glass front end! As Simon said above. The car is owned by Jay Wotton and I don't think he is a member here... he doesnt use the interweb much, you might be able to track him down on VZi - username wotdub. He also occasionally appears on the DPPS forum click link in my sig if you want to post a question there for him. But don't expect a reply for a while for painted patina, this is probably the best i know of

Isn't that Mister BGT sneakily peeking in from the right hand side there? As for the patina..... definately a useful alternative to catching a rusty panel at exactly the right time to stop it going too far. It's all very well saying it needs to be real but in this country it all just happens too fast. One minute you're rubbing down, three hours later you're welding patches in where it's rusted through whilst you were having your tea. I can recommend VW Havana Brown as a very rust-like colour, the scabs on mine hardly show up

[/quote] Thats a good 'un! Think the best thing to do is just go to 'frauds and have a squiz at the browns, particularly those mentioned, and just experiment on some spare panels/back of council garage door ;D ;D
