Thought I'd share some random retroness that I've spoted in an area! This mint Mk1 Gti came in for a service last week complete with BBS kit and perfect 14" P slots, the guy had just paid £6,500 for it! The same guy bought this Mk2 in for a running fault....It's a bit special this G60 Syncro for the win! Keeping with the golf theme, this is a guy I work withs daily driver This split belongs to a mate of mine But now looks like this.. Yep it's stripped and laquered, pic taken while it was having the front axle sorted and disc conversion etc

Rat look to the extreme... how fat are the rims on this 16V passat? everything's not as it seems though as they're the standard rims reversed and bolted directly to the hub when the rear disk brakes were robbed for the back of my mates brothers polo G40. Check this mo fo out, mid mounted rover V8, dead as you like and been sitting in our compound for years now Spotted this in the local supermarket recently, pretty clean as well. And this ford was at my mates garage recently

Nice G60 Syncro, not a great deal of them in this country. It'll be worth something

Great pic's. That 180B SSS is ace! Not one I can recall, there's not many left. Good thread on one that's being restored and fitted with newer engine here.... www.datman.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=247Datman had a pair of those mirrors on eBay recently, went for somethig like £67. BTW Stuy, do you work in the dealership along Sproughton Road? I recall a yard along there that had odd stuff sitting there like a Porsche 924. Years ago in Ipswich I found a funny old yard off Bramford Road that had lots of tatty units and old cars laying around, maybe off Riverside Road or similar? All now seemed to be new housing when I last investigated. I can remember other curse word car emporiums around Ipswich from the early 90's when I lived there, back then their stock was just MoT/scrapyard borderline bilge, but now we'd love it.

That's exactly where I work and the porsche is still in the compound as well, I posted some pics of it last year but I don't have them to hand right now. As for that transit it really is a piece of......... I know the guy who owns it and it was rotton as you like before it was taken of the road about six years ago but if any of you really want it I can put you in touch with him.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts
