Hello to you all! I'm new on here and decided to come and join after hearing so much about the site from my husband(Optimus Primer) The threats to buy a skoda aroused my curiosity! I have a 1965 Beetle and an appreciation the older car. And no I am not going to lower her or put ATS cups on, before anyone suggests it!!

I'd go for slamming it, a four inch narrowed beam, and a set of polished radars! ;D I am trying to keep her stock but I cheated a little with the towel rails! I just love them!

I must point out that me and the better half spent the best half of a year restoring the bug (and oodles of cash too!!) after we got her. She is now my pride and joy and I have learnt a thing or two about cars along the way.

I like it. Leave it just how it is. No silly 'look' elitism, just the way it was intended What is it? 1200cc? That must be mildly depressing, however.....

this is what she looked like when we got her, and that is the only other owner she has ever had 1965-2004, bless him

It is a 1200 but not that depressing. Why rush by when you can cruise by looking cool! (I have had her up to 70 by the way, a huge achievement!!)

imagine if you will an 83 year old man who has never heard of the concept of the vw 'scene' and that this has been his ONLY car since 1965. he was great when we met him. he kissed the car goodbye when she left, very moving
