whilst driving home from work today i was sat waiting to pull out of a junction when a car I've never seen before drove passed, at first i thought it was a mini moke as i could only see the side poking out from the car in front but as it came into view i saw a Renault badge on the grill, anyone know what this was? was it a production car or just a kit-car of some kind? whatever it is it was COOL!!! have some moke pics for inspiration

after a lil poke around on the net I'm realising this was quite a special one as it was VERY tidy, chrome grill and lots of shiney bits all over ;D

What were the Citroen equivalents of a similar vein? Looked like rebodied 2CVs, two-seater pickups with no roof whatsoever. They used to be all over the place down in the south of France.

I didn't know about any of those cars! How cool. If I had one I'd be looking at modified VW Type 181's for inspiration. Love the side panels on the Citroen!

Cheers guys, that was quicker than expected! Always fancied one of those since I was a kid, should imagine they would be slightly practical this far from the Med' - that orange one is just about spot-on!

Blimey, they're a bit thin on the ground those Citroens! A quick worldwide 'bay search brings up zero vehicles! Either everyone who has one can't bear to part with theirs, or (more likely) they all went in the bin ages ago!

coulda been an r4 plein air? The Plein Air looks so much better than the Rodeo! The original Renault 4 Plein Air's are pretty rare AFAIK they where only produced for 2 or 3 years. After that they made the Rodeo's, I think a lot more of those where build. But if I'm not mistaking there where several company's making things like the Plein Air from standard 4's.
