This ones going out to the collectors out there. If you have more than one. can you justify it? I have tried and cracked it i think. Makes me feel better, even if GF and folks are not convinced! (Cheers for your support - we need each other for this!) ;D There is more on the way when i can afford, and don't think i can bear to part with any currently in the fleet, the Sapph was gonna go originally but has work duties now. Justify your fleet if you can! Me Business work, and roof rack tasks Track car, local road screamer and custom project (new) Old Skool Allrounder beast, pleasure tourer. You?

reanimation in da house: Justify your fleet if you can!
They need me?!?!?
They just showed up on my doorstep and refused to leave!?!?!
Seriously if you need to justify your toys, projects, etc. you should start doing somthing else, like maybe chess, or.....
I have a 50 square meters of worshop, 5 square meter paint booth, 20 square meters of storage space and 30 square meters of Flying 8-ball Bar with a 90 square meter house on the side, the workshop is stuffed with motorcycles in diffrent stages of decay (!?!?!), some customer bikes but most mine, I have a Tractor, a Baywindow "HoodRide" project and my daliy driver Shop Hack Slammer Skoda Pick Up. My GF has a motorcycle and most of my friends rides on 2 wheels and are in awe with my place, during the summer my guesthouse is used almost every weekend and the Flying 8-ball Bar the main hangout in Mosta-Hill....

Good point as ever dp. Your quite right, since being here, I realise collecting is normal, and i now recognise it as an hobby. Some of the fleet were not originally on my shopping list, just grown to like em, interesting to take stock to see what you ended up with sometimes too u c. Facing temporary half homelessness, with a fleet of cars when you use a BMX for day do day localities, you have ask yourself though! ;D Big garage next, home later

Erm..... justify? I'll try but beyond "because I like it / want one / am happy with it" there isn't much to say....
Amazon - I just like it and as it's been in the family since Feb '94 (when I was 13) I'm very attached to it. Not blind to it's faults but it does everything I need, comfortable, huge boot, easy to manouver & narrow so great in London, a volcanic heater & also virtually anything that hits it will come off worse.
Sprite - Useless for everyday use as I don't have a garage & it's stored outside London, so used mainly just for summer weekends & occasional car shows. It's such fun to drive due to the illusion of speed - very much a toy whilst I can still have one.
If in the future I can only afford to have one car, it's the Amazon that stays - no question about it due to the sentimental value.

I used to have "reasons" for owning cars, but often it was "it was going to be scrapped if no one saved it" and such.
As I have proved anything from a Morris Minor to a 7 litre Oldsmobile can be daily driver then the only excuse you need is "because I wanted it"

Er, I have no hope of justifying my lot....
1988 Sapphire: Wanted a Sierra since I was a kid (my Dad had a couple), so I saved my pennies and bought this one when I was 19. It's had loads done and is damn solid, so it's worth pennies to most but has plenty of sentimental value to me.
1990 Sapphire: Rusty and has been replaced by the '92 as daily driver. But I like it. Was going to break it, but now I'm having another think about that....
1992 Sierra GLSi: My bro Matt was going to scrap it, and it's pretty fast and solid. So I bought it cheap. It had a free CD player and spare alloys!
Escort: It's for the missus, so no worries there.

I probably picked the wrong word with Justify.
I noticed Pheonix C for one has got a number 16th at the weekend and i can only see that as inspiration. Just wondering why personally, and what excuses are to friends and family...
I feel a little bit greedy, specailly as most are stored as favours but as said above, some would only get binned, "I wanted It" and "investment. My fleet still equates to less than a few year old Fiesta. only prob is storage and running costs, oh and time. which brings me to another point, own/collect loads or build one crazy one? Keep em coming thhough, its good to see whats going on with folks fleets

hmm
e30 325 thats currently a bare shell with lots of rust, i cant justify this one. all my friends say i'll never do anything with it and i should just scrap it. in away i think they are right, but at the same time it was my first proper bada*s car and i want to make it something completely to my liking.
e30 318 thats just been converted to 2.5 i crashed this car and broke it within an hour of buying it. i then hated the car and lost all motivation. its still not road legal but i drove it on the road last time in its new guise and my only justification for it is, it looks so ghetto and is totally cool sounds savage and is quick as fudge (fast fudge aswell) so basically cos its loud fast and cheap.

My collection consists of - Vauxhall GSI3000 Carlton Sierra XR4i 3 door Capri x2 Triumph 1200 (motorbike) Honda 605 chopper/lowrider and daily transport is a Yamaha XJ650
Why - quite simple, I like them. Its a threadbare phrases but if I have to explain you won't understand. Out of the lot the Carlton means the most to me simply because of the amount of good memories it has for me (including one conception on the rear seat - friend and one night stand, not me). One of the Capri's is going to have to go though simply to make space and free up some money for another project. My tenureship of the chopper is looking like it will end within this year as well - had a hardtail many years ago and had forgot just how much they hurt
