bought this from a chap on here a few weeks back with the full intention of getting it solid and road legal. when I took it home made a quick stop off in snowdonia after driving through the welsh mountains at night I realised the candle light lamps were a load of poo , so fitted these bastards .... before ; after; 8000k ftw ! it was then into work for the 2 day marathon of welding , wheel bearing adjustment , new rear brakes and new steering arms .... then passed its mot whhhooooooooop !! the 8j wellers that she was wearing I swapped for some borbet a's which are on the way hopefully , should look something like this I noticed that the engine needed some adjustment and alot of tuning (had a huuuuge flatspot at 4k and just spluttered and popped alot. so ordered a carb rebuild kit and sent the 32/36 off to a freind for some work bored out 2mm and polished knife edged butterflies fully rebuilt with choke flaps removed definatley improved power lost the horrid flatspot ...win ! also painted up the engine whilst I had a chance as soon as I can afford to tax the thing ill be taking a shortrip into work and giving it a lash over with the paint I mixed up updates soon !

Swapping borbet a's for manky old wellers, now that's a deal.
looking good! glad you addressed the biggest capri failing first! those lights look just the ticket, next you'll on about the woefull front brakes and the dodgy blower motor...
Nice work!

Now that just altogether works for me. Even the matt black, which I am less of a fan of.
That shape does suit the bumpers off.

Twin exhaust 2.8 style would look sweet. Can you get it any nearer the floor too? Lots of potential mate.

I think the Wellers look spot on! The lack of bumpers and satin paint really suit this, what colour are you spraying it - picture is too blurry to make out?

Oh man. With a drop that'll be perfect.
Just needs a V8...
Also, an odd question. Where the bumpers are removed, how's the rear number plate lit up at night? The rear bumper is coming off my car and that's the only thing I can't find something suitable to put in its place. Iirc it's an MOT fail to not have a light on there?

Loving the Borbets. I'd drop the front a little more and maybe some larger tyres on the back rather than lowering - give it a bit more rake.
