The building is structurally unsound and has to be demolished ASAP. This is standing in the doorway of the unit adjacent looking across into ours which is as close as the fire brigade would allow: You can see Lard's VW bus in front of which is my Mustang (yes really) for which I am currently looking at a pile of receipts that total about £18k. The pile of receipts is all I have left for that money...... Unfortunately someone was also seriously injured in this fire (not one of us) so, whilst this is devastating, it could have been worse.

Oh no! That's an actual worst nightmare scenario. I too was inspired by the work going into the Sunbeam and to loose it after so much work must be devastating. Not to mention all the tools and the other guys cars. I really sympathise with all you guys affected.

Sorry to hear about this. Truly a nightmare of epic proportions. Hope the guy who got hurt is on the mend.

That just makes me feel sick to read... I'm sorry for everybody involved. I hope the person who was injured turns out ok and any insurance you can claim comes through at least.

That's totaly devasting. For every one involved with the loss of vehicles, tools etc I cannot imagine how you feel. The more compelling part is that the fire did not sart in you unit, but you have suffered a major loss both in expenditure and time spent work on your projects.

I rarely post on the forum but have followed the dedication and achievement in rescuing this Sunbeam closely, and as others have said it was one of the reasons I joined the forum. I am lost for words at the loss for all involved, these are really sad times.

thanks for all your support guys - it helps a bit (a lot really ) not really able to put into words how I feel about this, was working miles away when I got the call and am still flat out until sunday (snuck away to post - hope my boss isn't watching ) camping with partner and daughter sunday+monday which is more important than some melty stuff (camping gear - top left rack ) so will try to put up a more comprehensive sob story on tuesday. I will try to find a decent camera as well (fuji - right hand side of pillar drill I think ) until then I will go back to annoying my collegues by randomly muttering obcenities under my breath and naming another thing I will never see again ps cheers Dez for the call - you cheered me up significantly onward and upwards (but I might take out travel insurance this time ) oh and some tesco value mobile phone pics : my previa is still happy lol

Dunno what to say, probably the saddest sight I've ever seen on Retro-Rides. Just awful. Sympathies go out to all concerned.

There's little anyone can say to help with this. I know how I'd feel if I were in your shoes, and it would probably involve being physically sick! Even more so that it wasn't even started in your unit Truely gutted for all concerned

Oh no, I've only just seen this! Absolutely gutted for all those involved. I hope the injured person recovers ok too. Don't know what else to say, just so sorry to you all.
