You are not allowed to sell this, I forbid you, at least until I'm in a position to buy it off you  Seriously though, I'm pretty sure this would be one of those cars you'd regret parting with if you did, they're super little things and Zodiacs and the like are (comparatively) ten a penny. Thanks for the mojo boost mate,tbh after trundling to Prescott and back again over the weekend it has given me the inspiration I needed. Only E10 there and loads of nice comments off people about the car has left me slightly glowing with pride. ;D ;D |

Very pleased to hear that  I have seen a few old Fords about the shop over the past couple of years, but no 100As of any variety out in the wild for at least 5 years now, yet more reason to keep hold of it really. |

RRG2012 seems like a long time ago but the old gal made it there and nearly made it back exept for a tyre letting go about 5 miles from home! Good job I didnt do the hill climb after all! Didnt take many pics but I camped next to Mr Justanotherhigh and his lovely Sunny.    And best not to ask about this one! ;D   The Cherry is off the road for a bit now to get the body work sorted so more pics soon. |

Some progress has been made, I have managed to get a o/s wing off the bay of E for £30, and it was only at Walsall so just a short trip up the A5 for me to collect it,so thats one problem solved!  Also going to lose the sill trims from the sides as they are a real dirt trap and will hopefully give the car a cleaner look.   The work is going to be done by a good mate of mine,I would have loved to have had a go myself but with work commitments I am just not going to get near it and I don't want to start something and then end up with the car off the road for years before its done. The list includes- Two new rear arches O/S Wing Door bottoms Front valance and both sills need work too.  So its quite a substantial amount of work but hopefully this will see the old gal stay on the road for the foreseeable future,which is the idea.  At least the old gal will have some company though ;D  While she is off the road I can concentrate on getting the wheels powder coated and shod with some new rubber. ;D Oh and try to find a couple of decent bumpers too!  |

Not updated this in a while so here we go- The Custard is currently SORN'D but will hopefully be back on the road soon, the ravages of 37 British winters have took there toll so it was time for a tidy up. Took the off side front wing off and the valance fell apart! Good start, also found a few holes in the inner wing (even better!) Pics-    More soon. |

To be honest Volksangyl I thought it would be worse but the boot floor and underneath are rock solid, rust proofing from new has preserved it very well (just a shame more weren't done). Can wait to get the old lass back on the road, suffering major Datsun withdrawals!
Going to be thoroughly waxoyled when done as my son has said he wants to drive it when he has passed his test (he is only 8). ;D

Ok here we go with a progress report. Not made Donington Festival but it was a bit optimistic tbh. Things are looking better though. Firstly Rust-  And more rust!  And the rebuild!     Could do with a good clean :{  Had some company from a very rare beast my mate was asked to blow over. any ideas?  Its a Marina pickup with a 1500cc Perkins diseasal engine!   Anyway Tail lights!   Done them black but tbh not sure, may change them to silver  The wing  IT FITS! (almost)  Kippin' on the job!  Oh no he is awake.  Had a nightmare with these chuffin' bolts on the bumper,only 4 on it but only one came off properly, two snapped and I had to cut the other off with the grinder which was nerve wracking to say the least, lets face it where the hell would I get another bumper from?  Looks quite good without it though! ;D  Nearly time for Geordie to work his magic with the spray gun  And the colour? In true Datsun tradition "Fun Yellow"  More soon........... |

Rather than painting the whole of the light surround silver, how about trying out just doing the inset area, or the edge of the surround? It might be fiddly, but providing you mask off well enough it could look factory. The other alternative is to paint them bodycolour (yay, more yellow!). Try a bit of polish on the lenses too, should eliminate that bit of clouding you've got. You don't need fancy polish, Brasso and a lot of elbow grease will do the trick, though a polishing wheel/mop would be better.
