Daft question here it goes: Why did British Lancia Fulvias not have the same lights as all the other ones? UK: Rest of the world: By the way, I love this car.

Probably heights regulations i would imagine, good on lancia for not just jacking up the suspension.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.

OK...do my front and rear (and also left-hand and right-hand) wheels turn at different speeds? I put my wheeltrims back on the other day, and I'm convinced the logos were all level. But now, they're not, in fact on the driver's side the front is now at 90deg. to the rear. It's a FWD vehicle, BTW.

Hi-Your left and right hand wheels will have gone at different speeds due to the fact you probably went around corners on your journey.If you imagine looking down at your car going around a roundabout from the sky,the inside wheel nearest the kerb has to go a shorter distance than the outer wheel to get your car around the roundabout.Another example is of a marching band-when they turn,the person on the inside marches on the spot and the one on the outside marches on...This is what the differential in your axle/gearbox does-it allows the wheels to turn at different speeds when cornering.

Daft question here it goes: Why did British Lancia Fulvias not have the same lights as all the other ones? By the way, I love this car. I'd been searching for ages trying to work out the difference as to the differences in lights, I presumed it was a face lift thing as I know they did 2 major updates to them across the years. But now you say it, it makes sense that it's british vs euro. EDIT: Having recently read some old articles it was 100% due to new british laws about headlight level. Instead of fitting taller springs like some companies did they lifted the lights. I do agree that they are lovely and that I want one on my drive with Fanalone headlights...

Directional tyres - whats the big deal with putting them on the wrong way? Am I right in thinking they'll have less grip in the wet due to the water channels being the wrong direction or are there also other issues?
Basically a couple of my rears are wearing unevenly and I'll probably swap them round. It's only the back mind and I'll probably just use them up skidding. Will I be killing nuns and kittens?

^ Dunno about that, but my Metro GTa failed a Gestapo-style Northern Ireland MOT for having a tyre on "backwards".

Like you say, the water channels will funnel the water into the middle of the tread and they'll be terrible with any standing water. In the dry there won't be anywhere near as much of a difference - it'll turn into a much more scientific situation where tread bars are being loaded differently and all sorts of stuff like that - in practice you'll probably not notice it.

Yep, in the dry I doubt you'll notice a difference, in the wet the tyres will be actively channeling the water to their centers, meaning they'll be trying their hardest to aquaplane.

We have Khumo KL71 mud terrains on the Surf that are directional, in their case its for noise on the road. They grip better in the mud if you swop them round so they are all backwards but they are much quieter on the road the right way round.

It'll fail the MOT but only because of the sidewall instructions, not because of any specific safety reason. It's common in drifting to run 'em backwards as they won't delam as quickly.

Reminds me of a "drift" 340 I saw once with a 1.4. It had diesel lines connected so that it sprayed on the rear tyres at the flick of a switch Thankfully it was in such a state I'm pretty sure it got bangered or has been left rotting somewhere. As for the tyres... I'll give them a go with some excitable driving (not drifting but quick cornering in the wet) well away from anyone else and see what happens

I was going to ask that a while ago, but did some google searching instead. As far as I can glean, they are identical - it was sold as the T25 in the UK, and the T3 everywhere else. I could be wrong though.
