I designed a limited edition t-shirt for Jesse James' Garage magazine in 2009 and they've finally got them in stock. I don't get anything from the sale of them (I was a "Featured Artist" in the September issue of Garage, #19, and he asked me to design a shirt), so I'm not trying to being pushy--I just wanted to share because they were made for gearheads and grease monkeys in a kustom kulture style. If you are interested, you can buy them on the West Coast Choppers site for $20: www.shopwestcoastchoppers.com/detail/WCC+GMAGA002+L(Only the skull and wrench design at the beginning of the time-lapse video got used...the V-Twin might get made at a later date though) I hope you like 'em! -David www.davidlozeau.com

Not bad. But there's something wrong imo if you're not getting any money for it.

Thanks guys! The 6-page spread of my art in the Garage #19 was pretty cool, so when Jesse mentioned doing a special run of shirts, I was happy to design something for him. This is all they had before: www.shopwestcoastchoppers.com/detail/WCC+SSG+XL

Is this also the logo they used on the show Monster Garage? Could've sworn I've seen it before...

Is this also the logo they used on the show Monster Garage? Could've sworn I've seen it before... Nope, it's my original design...but it has a lot of old school tattoo influence (skull and crossbones), and that's been done forever. This is based on a character I developed called "El Mecanico" (http://www.davidlozeau.com/day_of_the_dead_art/El_Mecanico.asp)...maybe you've seen that art? It's been in a few magazines. Hell, if they want to use my stuff in a show, call me up!...but nothing is free anymore. Thanks Leigh! The Garage people were great to work with and the article was very flattering. One guy called up and bought almost everything he saw in the pages! ;D

Oops, I forgot to post the time-lapse video I made of the hand-inking and digital conversion of the design...
I'm told they only have a few 2XLs left in stock so I hope you got one if you wanted one!

HongKongPhooey -- I wish I had discounts, but I don't. If you buy something from them online, they normally send you a follow up e-mail a few weeks later for some % off your NEXT order, but that's all I've ever heard about. Sorry man. Mephiston -- My portfolio/Web site is: www.davidlozeau.comHere are some other time-lapse vids I made for a zombie skateboard series for a skatepark in New England called Rye Airfield: Thanks for the kind words guys--I appreciate the support!

I know, sorry man--they sold out of the L and XL right away.
Long Beach (in fact, Southern California and the Southwest) is full of BIG boys...for my designs I sell on my own site, I always make more 3XLs and 2XLs than any other size. Big dudes will come into my booth at a kustom kulture show and buy a few of every big size I have. Medium and girlie shirts just sit around forever...
