If you were Kowalski, what car would you take into the desert? It needs to be reliable as hell as it has to cope with all that sand and naked chicks dropping in. Bare in mind the dodge was chosen for the "quality of the torsion bar suspension and for its horsepower", and it was "a real sturdy, good running car".

If it just needed to be tough, either one of these: 2.8 TD Manual Pajero MK2: Or a Hilux Surf Manual 3.0TD: Or a MK1 Surf:

A landrover would just break. But you could fix it again with a ziptie and the skeletal parts of whatever dead things you break down next to. Without wanting to sound predictable.. A Volvo 240

VW Beetle. No really! It's a well known fact that they never die, despite heat/dust/extremely worn internal components. I've pulled apart a 1200cc VW motor which had broken it's crank in half right through the middle and was still being driven without any issues! Plus, they have plenty of desert-survival cred, having powered these:

Plus, they have plenty of desert-survival cred, having powered these: that happened to a woman on vzi with her squareback... crank snapped and kept going... it pulled the crank seal out too and still carried on with curse word all oil and a nock from the pod to wales.... ;D but you try telling that to anyone whos ever had the dizzy slip on the motorway (you cant tell as it never drops to idle obviously) and a valve becomes part of the head me <<

Astra 1.7 TDi in this colour! Doubt it would've fitted in in the Vanishing Point environment though.

Yeah, I probably should have said you have to retain an element of cool whilst driving it drunk/amphetamined up/god knows what else. So maybe a volvo 240 is perfect

I'd drive whatever I was being paid to deliver, what with Kowalski being a car delivery driver...

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

More space & practicality than a Pajero while still keeping the bulletproof mechanicals & build....so this (rather obviously) gets my vote. I reckon the look funkier too.

A landrover would just break. As the Aussies say: ''If you want to go onto the outback, take a Land Rover. If you want to get back, take a Toyota''

Any car, as long as you're committing suicide, who cares. My main criteria would be a car with a radio that is programmed to block any noise from the curse word DJ who ruined the first movie with his retarded yapping. Good day, sir. ;D
