newton street motors, dunkirk, nottingham,
tel 0115 970 2074

i will NEVER own a Ford, ever. whys that They are pretty decent cars modern enough, and the 2.8 4x4's ideal for draging other projects about too and track day action, a lot of tuning potential! if the scrappy don't get greedy worth a dabble, i'd have a dabble but already got 2 sierras as you probably know. somebody get it www.sierracorner.net/xr4x4g.htm

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

A friend of mine gave his away recently, well a 2.9 GLSi 4x4 (trim level below but same otherwise). It needed alot of work though, after 11 previous owners the fuel tank leaked, the heater didn`t work and the sills were shot but it was an amazing car, nice soft suspension, fantastic levels of grip and a lovely exhaust note. A definite Q car

Mate of mine had 2 a few years back, one a 2.8 the 2nd a 2.9. He went onto a V6 Mondeo then back last year the urge got to much & he got shot of the Mondeo & bought a late 2.9 They are nice cars IMO but think I'd personally prefer a XR4i.

There are cheaper, easier and better ways of making a fast Fester, dude.
The 2.8/9 Iron-block is a pig.
