The new rims are finished in Anthracite. Hmm, anthracite, the colour choice of people with taste and discernment, worldwide. Those should look very, very nice.

Really happy with the way they look and the overall look of the car now. I just never really liked the BBS on it and now they're soon to be heading to Wales and an e34 I think? I just need some 5mm hubcentric spacers on the rear. It actually drives differently now too. I'm not sure if it's the change in unsprung weight or the loss of spacers (required to fit style 5's) but it certainly feels better for the changes. While we were at it we changed the brake fluid, engine oil and filter and gearbox oil. We also found the tiny, localised bit of rust in the corner of the nearside front floor pan wasn't quite so tiny. It is very localised and easily repaired though fortunately. I knew it was there and I had intended getting it repaired over the coming winter, but like a picked scab it now looks worse than ever, so it's going down to be sorted after breakfast today. It's not a big deal but it seems daft not to sort it once and for all. Apart from the hole, I also need to replace the rear brake pads. A previous owner fitted EBC reds and they are literally cracking. It's something I've seen before and one reason why I won't buy EBC stuff myself. I usually go with Hawk pads as they're excellent quality, perform well and don't cost silly money. I also want to renew the gear linkage bushes and try and improve the shift, which can be a little reluctant when cold. The oil change has certainly helped a little but I also think the 'quick shift' may not be installed as well as one might hope. It's on the jobs list now anyway. Will @ www.rally-prep.co.uk is going to tidy up the interior and the dash will most likely be flocked. I want to get the seats recovered in dark grey alcantara too - eventually.

Can't wait to see this in the flesh, I imagine the photo doesn't do the colour of the new wheels justice.

As much as I liked the the BBS wheels, and how much they suit almost all BMW, there is no getting away from the fact these suit the car so much better!!
Great to see you have a car finished that you can enjoy, after what you have gone through with MIB, looking forward to MIB being finished though.
But then what will you do for a project after that!!

I'm sure I'll find something. Mind you, I still have plenty I want to do with the M3. Ideally a flocked dash, new carpet and remove, repaint and refit the roll cage. I also want the seats reupholstered in dark grey alcantara. I guess the look I'm hoping for is like the inside of a Porsche 911 GT3 or something. A factory lightweight kind of look. Well I had the geo' done and there's a marked improvement in the way the car feels. I've also made a subtle change or two. I'm going to have a go at detailing the paint this week.

Apologies for poor phone pic but cleaned the paint and gave it a wax. Despite my lack of skills there was a marked improvement. I think I may even get it done properly b Unfortunately there seems to be a blow from one of the exhaust manifold gaskets. It lessens once the engine is warm but still annoys me. I've ordered new gaskets from the local main dealer but they'll take a week to get here. Even then I've got big hands so it'll be a curse word job fitting them. I just hope I can get them sorted before the gathering next weekend? Anyway, here's the newly polished car and I'll try and get some better pics.

Cheers. Well am currently waiting on gaskets arriving from the Fatherland and as I'm not keen on the Phut Phut Phut noise from the manifold, I'm back the the Death Trap 02. No great hardship except for that little red light that tells me the alternator has thrown in the towel. Luckily there was enough juice in the battery to let me drive to my lock-up and I nabbed the one off the white car. 5 minutes spanner twirling and Bingo! the DT is in rude health once more! Even the sun came out for the 15 mile drive home again, which I took as a good sign. I plan to swap the minilites onto DT and put the black ATS Classics on the white 02. I really like white cars with black wheels and especially on 02's. I'd have liked Cosmics but ATS are a good 2nd choice. Hopefully this rain will stop and I'll get them swapped today sometime.

Nice Mark as always! Love the new wheels. E21 for RRG? Afraid not Rob. I'd hoped it would be ready but seems not and Pristine are closed till September 4th now. It'll be M3 for RRG and might go up the hill if I can get hard copies of insurance etc.

Just watched the Chris Harris video, you weren't wrong about that M3 you sold him being faded.
