...this. ![](http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f387/cmpod83/GetAttachment-1.jpg) ![](http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f387/cmpod83/GetAttachment-1-1.jpg) Yes, I know, I need help. But it was dirt cheap, it's all original and I've wanted one ever since I got rid of my last one. Plans? Well, quite simply I plan to MOT it and roll it standard, I even plan to get a set of the original alloys. Going to collect it within the next fortnight with any luck, can't wait! Right, I'm off to the doctors to get some medication for my car addiction.... Chris

Is that an unrusted wheel arch on a Mk2 Astra? Surely not!
Can the paint be saved then? Either way a nice car. My mate managed to wangle one as a first car years ago. As expected it exited stage left through a hedge before executing a perfect barrel roll. We laugh about it now of course, except Dan who can't remember any of it!

these are cool i had a 1.2 4speed years back and made it all GTE looker had a -60mm kit and the back looked ace on the 14" get rims as the rim height was inline with the rear arch! only snag was it scrubbed the fronts so badly that used to get 2" of the inside tyre going slightly less road worthy too soon!

Never given astras a second look but that looks ace! Arches look exeptionaly good, so chances are the rest of it might be mostly rot free. A rare car now to find in that condition, well done.
The only experience I have of a 80's red hothatch is my old MG Maestro. Looked good, went quick (sometimes) cornered well (in a fun, slightly sketchy way), but no matter how good it looked there is one thing you cant take away from it. It was still a poxy Maestro. Bits fell off and it started to rot dispite its low mileage and waxoil.
