I didnt know wether or not to put this on here as I doubt if anyone who goes on here would have known him, but last saturday morning, my father Morry Cook sadly passed away after a battle with Motor Neurones Disease. I just wanted to put some pictures on here to give some of you who may be interested, some sort of idea of what he was about. The following picturs are the tip of a very large iceberg, for example weve got boxes of pics from both his banger racing days, and tonns of pictures of Austin Maxi's as he was ''The Maxi Man'', the spares secutary for the Maxi Owners Club. He basicly showed me his way into the classic car world, and for that I will be forever grateful, he introduced me into a hobby that I love, and without him I may never have known it. The memories of growing up going to car shows since about 1982 is something I will always treasure, and build upon. There is a much more indepth story to be had from all this, but these will give a brief idea of what he meant. Steam Railways was another huge interest for him too, and the pile of books that ive got to shift is a thing of wonder RIP Dad. My Friend, My Father, My Idol. XX

RIP. He looks like an ace bloke, as each dad is in their own idiosyncratic way. I don't know what it's going to be like when I lose a parent.

Really sorry to hear that, man! My dad was a lot like your dad sounds. He passed away nearly one year ago and I still feel like it was yesterday. Good dads are the best!

A very moving post and a great tribute to your dad. Just from the pictures i can see what a brilliant fellow your father was and how much you loved and still do love him.
My heart goes out to you and your family at this difficult time and i wish you all the very best.

Those pictures leave me in no doubt that yours was exactly the kind of Dad most boys would love to have.

Wonderfull Memorial set of pics.
Sorry he passed away.
However, and it seems you will be able to understand the ethos: Always Celebrate his life.
My dad was more a friend and mentor than dad to me, and I often miss him and my mum, but they are in everything my brother and I do these days.

Sorry for your loss, but of all the dads you could have had, those pictures assure me you won the 'dad lottery'.
Seems like a top bloke. R.I.P.

Deepest sympathies mate, looked like a top bloke. Lets face it anyone with a love for Maxi's has got to be a hero, the white one with the black bonnet looks tops.
