Here is the the 'new' subframe  Now Stripped down. Man those strut rods didn't want to come undone!  and had it shotblasted at a local place.  Rear springs rebushed (that was a curse word!) And smartened up. Tank straps stripped and repainted  Doors had some rot at the bottom so it was decided to make new skins for the lower doors on both sides to save future rot uglies.  Engine removed from old subframe and taken outside for a damn good wash before  after |

Metalwork is now done. Has new rear inner and outer arches, rear wing bottoms, bits of floor, trunk floor, front wing bottoms , rear valance, bottom of trunk lid , bulkhead repair.. and a few other bits. Just been down and collected it.  |

I was told you needed a special set up to do zinc plating. What's involved to DIY? Results look reasonable.

I love that, The body style is one of my favourites, I want to see it finished. ----- Where did you get your shot blasting done, I got mine done near where I live, I thought he was a touch expensive!!

shell is out of hibernation   doing some more welding work  masking and marking areas for sandblasting.  Weather has stopped us taking it to sandblasters today, but hopefully after the weekend it will be going there. |

should probably update! More work on shell after blasting...  Colour going on! This is the original colour it was 46 years ago.   more paintin'. A pillars, inside bulkhead, interior floors etc.  Blasted, rebushed, rebuilt, repainted door hinges (they are HUGE)  |
