Absolutely stunning build, far and away better than factory condition.
My mum and dad had an estate FB when I was a kid. It died a death from corrosion in about 1974 with only about 45k on the clock.

Interesting - mine is as clean & shiny as yours, but it does mean laying underneath cleaning/polishing it on a regular basis! Will have a look at that product too. EDIT, I cant find that product - can you send a link?

Great to see an update on his and the end result is amazing. Many thanks for sharing EDIT - I cant find that scotoiler product - can you send a link? Scottoiler (note spelling ) have a great reputation for their motorbike chain care oils and the automatic chain lubrication system they have been selling for decades. I don't know if they also do car care products but you might want to ask them. Hope it helps www.scottoiler.com/products/refill-lubes-protectors/

I found the bike chain lube systems, but looking further I think he means this stuff protective spray which looks quite good.

Just an update, attended the Footman James classic car show this weekend and got car of the show! Well worth the effort of those involved and just a shame that the man who started this project is no longer with us.

Mick That’s is great News and I know Gordon would be as delighted as I am that you’ve taken on the Custodianship of this car, and have continued on the path that he started to create one of the Best FBs in the country, I look forward to meeting you one day and shaking your hand All the Best Tony

The car is a credit to all involved. Well done! Now post up some pics of the car at the show. Tony, maybe you can change the title of the thread so it's no longer an ongoing saga of panel repairs?

Great to meet you Tony and thanks for taking the time to post your thoughts, the car is great and gets many compliments, I do enjoy driving it but not really up to keeping it in the condition it now deserves, hopefully it will end up in the hands of another enthusiast who will keep it nice and clean.

I saw this car at one of last year's Christchurch Quay shows so it has come down south now.
