As I was scrolling I was thinking "please be an update, please be an update" Isn't the same without you and Xbollox updating on a Sunday night, Nothing to finish the weekend off anymore! + 1 Amen to that - there are certain updates I just ache to see and this is one. Looks amazing!

Looked through this thread so many times it seems polite to post my thanks (and awe )as I have two FB's to deal with, the one in my avatar and one that has been providing lodgings to vermin so the inner & outer sills, wings etc are non-existant. Now, not only can I see what used to be there I can see how to do it.
I just wish it was as easy as Tony's made it LOOK ( I know it isn't I've tried many times)

That's a thing of beauty, magnificent, and a tribute to all the skill and hard work that has gone into it so far.

It is with Huge sorrow that I write this post
4 weeks ago Gordon lost his year long battle against Cancer
Anyone who knew Gordon will know what a huge loss he will be, he was a true gent and a great friend to everyone, he will be sorely missed
The Victor has been passed on to our good friend Clive, a fellow Northerner, good all round guy and a member of the Victor Club
Clive plans to complete the restoration to the same high standards that Gordon had achieved, and to make this one of the best FB's in the country
I'll keep the thread updated with photos and updates as they happen and look forward to the day when the car finally makes it to the annual Billing Aquadrome Show
RIP Gordon, our thoughts go with you

So sorry to hear that - through threads like this one feels that you have got to know the people involved and feel the loss as if of a friend. RIP Gordon, sorry you didn't get to see the Victor finished! Good luck Clive! Please keep us updated on the progress Tony, thank you!
Regards Mark

Sorry to hear that. Great to hear that Clive is planning to achieve what Gordon clearly wanted. Amazing work.

That is sad news indeed, the only happiness to be found is that his project is going to be continued as he would have wanted and that he no longer has to suffer under the yoke of cancer. My thoughts go out to his family and friends, just from the little I learned of Gordon through this thread he did sound like a thoroughly decent sort and there are never enough of those in the world.

Sad news Tony. There are quite a few people around me that have been affected by cancer in some way or another and it's always unfortunate to hear of someone losing the battle. Hopefully the FB is a tribute to Gordon when it's complete.

May I ask if any templates or even measured drawings were ever made for any of the repair panels and if so would they be available?

I've just been through this thread end to end. Sorry to hear about your friend, but I have to say I am amazed with the workmanship that has gone into each piece of the puzzle.

I'm sure you will find lots of interest! I will put the kettle on and wait patiently for updates! It may even be worth starting your own thread with a link to this one?
