Simple question... how many miles has your retro covered? My Benzy has done 100,000 on the nose... When I bought it, it had 75,000 on it, so I've done 25,000 miles in her so far. Hopefully after the engine swap / mild resto I'll be doing many many more miles in it! My Saab has done 170,000 miles, but not much of that is with me behind the wheel as I've not long had it. The highest mileage car I've ever owned was a Peugeot 205 diesel which had clocked up 270,000!

The MX5 is at 149,000, but I have no idea what its had done in the past.. I replaced the cambelt when I bought it (just 500 miles ago) and am hoping for the best! Goodness knows what the triumph has done, it certainly isn't the 38000 that its reading..

My Transporter has done about 119000 to date, from 1989 My Golf had done 219,000 when it caught fire (milage unrelated!!) Thats nearly 5 times round the world! I knew someone that had up until recently been rocking about in an A reg Mk2 GTI with 250,000 miles on it. Still made 90BHP on the rollers, but that killed it about a week later ;D Still, he's rebuilding it rather than scrapping it so it'll last another 200,000 miles Rich

2CV = 170,000. Bunged a second-hand engine in 6k ago while I fettle the original, but it still runs well. I've done 80,000 of those miles myself.
Mini = 60k. Had 36k when we got it...
Bond = 4000 on the clock, but previous owner reckons it's clocked TWICE, so 204,000! No way of proving that mind.

Well, my 1970 VW Beetle currently shows just over 21,000 miles, but the odometer only goes up to 99,999 before it goes around again. I know for sure that it had the current front tyres at about 75,000 miles, which was back in 2003, so I reckon it would have gone back to zero around 2005. In the 35 years before that, nobody knows how many times it's been around, but it has to be at least once, so I'll conservatively estimate that it's been around between two and four times in total. So, total distance travelled is either 221,000, 321,000 (most likely) or perhaps even 421,000.
The car still has only it's original paint (and it's getting pretty thin), but has had the front-left fender and bonnet changed, as well as the wheels. Transaxle, engine and seats were replaced by previous owner, and I've put in another engine to make it a bit quicker.

My 1st car, Ford 107E got it with 97K on the clock and when I killed it spectacularly it had done 135K. Second car, 105E Anglia had about 90K on it when I got it and is now at about 117K. 3rd car, sit up and beg Ford Popular left me with 14K on the clock, so 114K total. Not bad for a really shonky motor that can only do 50mph

My van is on at least 150000 miles. It has done 50,000 since 1994, so is probably on 250000.
Beetle has an indicated 79k miles, I've no way of telling either way.
